I know there were a few people injured. But anybody know how the kid is that wrecked in race #12 before the 12 in. am. start on the rythym section by the fence line? I was at the start for the 12 am, and my buddies told me a kid was knocked out and not breathing and they had to give CPR. If anyone has an update please let us know. Hope he is doing well. Thanks.

My friends little brother was in a wreck, I think this was him. He was in the ICU for a few days at a hospital in Tyler, with some bleeding in his brain. He's doing better now, is awake, remembers racing, but is still in the hospital. He ate real food today, so I don't see why he'll have a full recovery.

I must say however, Marion, one of the EMTs at the race,(the larger gentleman on the 4wheeler) is an EXCELLENT medic. I have worked with him on many many occasions at cross country races, heck, hes had to pull me off the track on more than one occasion. He is smart, and quick... and just a good guy in general. Thanks go out to the medics fer sure. Hope nobody ever has to utilize their services, but its comforting knowing there are capable hands out there watchin over us.

His name is Trey Hobbs like said above.
He is at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. He had another MRI done today or last night and everything checks out ok, but he still has pain in his neck and shoulder. They are keeping and eye on him still for the pain.
