takegawa hyper cam is a great cam but for a stock motor you will lose some low end torque but gain a good bit of top end power. If you want just a slight bit of improvement all around a trail bikes cam will work nicely.

Trailbikes....I use on my stock bore and it is nice.

The Tak K10 has a little more lift and duration and is better for road racing. I have a K10 I will be switching to in a few weeks as we roadrace/supermoto the bike. I'll let the TB cam go for $20 but it'll be a month before it's available.

TB $65

Tak $150

BBR Dcomp $350

Obvious choice.

man i say if ur just gonna put a cam i say forget that just get a cylinder bore etc... i think the cam is too much to put in for how little sometimes u get

Thats true you can just get a trail bikes 134 piston for 70 bucks and get your stock cylinder bored out which generally costs about 40-50 dollars then add the trail bikes cam for 65 and for slightly more than what the tak cam would cost you have a 134 with cam which runs pretty decent (pretty noticeable gain over stock)

Some are restricted by class rules, as we are, 111cc max.

ya well if its that then ya.. but i mean if ur just the average going to race local something no rules and dont want to spend cash then with out it u be fine but in those classes u gotta get all the power u can get hah..

True.

Piston, bore, my used cam, jets = $150

Go from 5.5 horse stock to 10 for 150 smackers, lotta bang for the buck.

cheers for the quick reply gang ;)

im racing superstock so no bore kits,is the tb cam better than the takegawa in a stock motor? and hows the bbr d comp....ben
For MX probably yes.

The Dcomp is for high compression big bore kits. You won't notice a difference between that and the other cams but you will be $300 poorer.
