got the wheel halves back from the powder coaters and the new kings. anyone have any suggestions or know where i can get info. it's my first attempt to install a set of wheels on these type of rims. i've learned from experience that they bend real easy. i'm thinking its gonna be hard to get the tire on all the way (tire bead flush up against the rim). help

get one half, and lay it on the ground - put cardboard underneath it if needed. Get the tire and just push it down on the rim. Get the tube and stick it inside the tire and make sure the valve is through the hole on the rim. Then get the other half and get the otherside of the tire on it. Do not pinch the tube. Get the bolts for the rim, and put them on, but dont tighten them . Get some air in the tube, enough so the tire is a bit bouncy. Get a mallet or hammer and bang on the tire all the way around to seat the tire, and then let the air out, tighten the bolts, and then fill to the specified pressure. Works for me, not a pinched tube yet.

Tube in tire.......put in wheel halves.....bolt together......inflate to 25 psi ......tire bead will seat it self. Set tire psi to 20psi. A little lighter fluid on the tire bead will help it seat but not a must. Lighter fluid evaps quickly and no residue. Great for putting on grips too!

You run the pressure to suit you weight and feedback from the tires. Never just put max. tire pressure stated on the sidewall. I.E - I'm 6'2" 225 - 10" G-Craft with Maxxis GP tires on my mono shock Gorilla. Front 17 psi /Rear 19 psi. Ride the bike E and get the feel of it. Also depends on how you are going to put it threw it paces. Crusin or given it the berries! :)
