As you probably know by now. I am building a 50 that looks like its never going to end. But I am actually close to being done. I want your opinions on what I need to do next and what should I run for the motor. The ones that are stared are the ones I am not sure of yet.

I will hopefully run this bike at Englishtown for the Trapani Series.

Chassis- Tech 5 Frame, +3 Brand X Minis Swingarm,

Forks- RCM Front Inverted Forks

*Shock- Pitster Shock or Romic If I figure out a way to raise it.

Wheels- Knockoff 12/10 setup with Disk brakes

*Seat- Stock with one industries cover or Knockoff tall seat

*Motor- Either a Brand New Lifan 120 Monster Head, or a stock xr70 motor.

Footpegs- Five O F4 Billet Pegs with HD mount

I don't know what motor to use because of which class to run. If I run my 120 I definately will have to run a BBK or Hi-Comp Piston and a BB Pipe. All which I don't have yet. Or I could just run my stock 70 motor in the 88 class and hope to get an 88 kit or just even run a pipe and take my chances.

I really would like your opinions on which setups to run and which motor to use. I am a complete newbie when it comes to racing but I am pretty fast so it can't be that bad.

I think I am going to run my 70 motor instead of the Lifan 120 because of all the GPX's and high bore 50 motors...... I think I could make a pretty good little beast out of the 70 motor for not a lot of cash.

Before you start worrying about classes and motors get the forks on that thing. I dont think it matters what shock you put on that thing is gonna be a Choppa! That head angle looks nasty. Worse then my billetware. hopefully its an illusion.

why buy a shock smaller than stock? lol get an el jefe, elka, or i shock depending on your price range, throw the forks on it, put the 70 motor in it and bore it out to like 88-107 and rip it. should turn out a nice little bike

I had a Romic on a Brand X frame so it wouldn't have that weird swingarm angle. So I just carried it over to this frame.

And Ryan,

now I am running my pitster shock that is 10.5 inches in length and it is a lot better.

I am probably going to use the 70 motor. Prolly get an 88 kit and carb for my Birthday in June. Put the Lifan 120 in my xr70 for now.
