yep the spacers is where you will need to mod. the spacers are made out of some soft metal so you can use a hacksaw and then file down to the exact size you need.

here is where it gets tricky as there are two trains of thought:

Train 1) cut the spacer on the non-caliper side until the rim and everything bolts up. by doing it this way you are not changing the caliper and rotor spacing. But there is concerns that the wheel will be off center within the clamps.

Train 2) cut both spacers to fit the wheel. But you will need to cut some metal out of the caliper mount or on the caliper so that the caliper and rotor can line up.

so choose your train and ride it :)

my personal thought is to go get the stock ktm65 clamps modded by pax then you are not cutting any spacers or any thing. call donny@pax and see how much it is. it could be only $50 but not more than $100 I believe.

i went with the first option and im not very happy at all with it. the second option requires actually modifying parts that are a little bit more expensive than spacers. keep the stock clamps and get them modded to fit.

Make sure if you bore the hole that you get the stem geometry right... You could really **** up the way the bike rides if you put it in crooked.

Blayne..

It will work cause that is the way I did mine. Just make sure you get it right the first time.

You need to grind the weld off the 65 stem and press it out... then bore it and press the 110 stem in and weld it up....

Or give my sponsors a call and see about getting them to build it for you.

MOTO XTREME ask for Jason or Derek and tell them I sent ya.

if you have ktm clamps...you can cut the stem half way up and weld the top half of a 110 stem on to it and it will work. i have a set of clamps with this done that im going to try out. its not pretty but its easy and cheap.

yes they fit if your putting them on a klx or drz there is a couple of guys here in vegas that have done that i think all you have to do is change the bearings and what one guy told me what he did is took a drimmle and sanded down the in side of the klx tripple clam so the kx fork leg slides in he said it was easy to do

the ktm clamps are wider than marz or bigminis. im not sure...but i think the caliper mount or maybe the bottoms of the legs are different also, because i was told that i couldnt use the marz front wheel with the ktm forks and bigminis clamps.

axle diameter is different between the marz fork legs and ktm fork legs.

also the ktm clamps use a longer axle than the marz.

since you have ktm forks I would recommend using the ktm clamps. since it sounds like you have the wheel and brakes already.

as written before you can use a bigger collar in the frame so you can use the ktm bearings and stem. someone would have to do it on a lathe or if you can one of those bearing places like ALLBALLS or something (Look in the back of some dirt bike mags). They can help you. You will need to do some measurements but I bet they can find you a bearing and race that will fit the ktm stem into the klx110 frame.

hmmmmmm....

I have a KTM front end, complete........

and i have a set of big minis clamps.........

AAAAAAAaaaaaannndd, i'm goign to call pax and just have them work over my ktm clamps and save the big minis clamps for a rainy day or something.

Rather than rinky-dink things, just do it right! I for one don't want any SLOP or jankey fabbing on my front end.
