this last sunday a good friend of mine,PLAZ CONNOR (riddler)lost his life during a motocross race at the sandy vally motocross track-- plaz was 38 yrs old and suffered from a massive heart attack 45 minutes into the race!! this was his first motocross race ever, but he was a fast, and avid rider that was in excellent shape!!! although the paramedics did everything possible-- there was nothing thart could be done!! plaz was leading the novice lass atr the time of his heartattack-----he was know for his mountain bike racing, as him and his wife had won many team events, and rode for hours several times a week!! plaz would ride practice several times a week at the local tracks, both his big bike, and his modded drz110!!! he leaves his wife julie behind, as well as many friends that loved his laid back, go with the flow demeanor---

I feel for you man, losing a friend is hard.

You know you have to run #23 now, right?

Condolences to you and his family.

Jon

EDIT: well, that was supposed to be a Private Message but it's all good if it showed here....

Did they determine if he had a heart defect of some kind???

I feel really down for his family, it makes you think though since I am not but a couple years younger.

I hope that he is riding the perfect setup all day every day.

My condolences..So sorry for your and his families lost.

Did he have a heart attack due to a clogged artery or did he have cardiac arrest?? That sucks esp when you are active and this happens.

I can kinna relate to this. Last year july, I almost had a heart attack. I was 33 years old at the time. I had chest pains for a month but blew it off thinking that I was out of shape.I had a clogged artery that was 95% clogged! I had to have a stent installed and now feel better. This is coming from a person that rides his bike 10 miles 2 times a week, trains tae kwon do 2 time a week and pratices jiu jitsu 1-2 days a week. I guess stress and high cholesterol did it for me. You may look healthy but you don't know. Just do your yearly physical and deal wtih stress whether it be riding your fiddy or exercising. we all need to take care of ourselves: we are not getting any younger. And if you know somethings not right, don't hesitate and see a doctor. IF you still don't agree with the diagnosis, get a second opinion. It's your life, your body. Take care and god bless..aloha..Ray

So sorry. Similar thing happened to our best friend, Marcad 57, last July 31. I can tell you it does get a little easier to comprehend over time; but just a LITTLE easier. I bought Marcad's CRF150F and run his number 57. He is in our thoughts daily. So sorry for your loss.

i believe that the company that put on the race is going to have a special 1st place trophy made to present to his wife---- thought that was very thoughtful!!
