I just bought a new GPX from USA motortoys. About $500 shipped with everything: kickstarter, shifter, cables, carb/intake, and the air filter. THe GPX is so much better than the Xtreme 125 it's not EVEN funny. My newest Xtreme motor is about six months old - first it was a broken motor mount, then it somehow wound up with a hole in the case next to the C/S, now yesterday it seized up completely. It never ran right in the first place - anyhow i'm just saying this to back up the GPX, their motors are great.

those are the guys from brandx minis in ohio, they are good guys like Bart, hey Bart are you racing this year in the sumo class with us old fat guys lol
Hey now, that is called the "Clydesdale class". Yes I will be racing with you guys but you will be surprised by the bike I will be running (hint, it is older then me)

As far as the shift pattern on the motor, well I am sure CRkid would tell you that it is fine and the best available like he used to about that engine when he sold them but now that you are considering it from another source it is no good, go figure. I think CRkid is confused about how public forums are for helping people with honest opinions and not trying to force his products down your throat as if you entered his store.

I personally would not get a GPX but in the spirit of helping people I was just trying to answer your question which was "where is the cheapest you can buy a GPX?" instead of trying to lead you in some other direction (like: buy the one I have, it is much more money but it is the best)

Could not of said it better.

The funny part in here also where staggs was questioning you if you knew what a GPX was/is...lmao

These guys do this crap all day here. "get mine, its the best"

I kind of don't blame them because they pay way to much to be on this site and how else are they going to get sales.

On the other hand....

If you are a smart shopper you wouldnt get much of anything from them.

Ebay always smokes these guy and or just a normal seller on ebay like brand X/Whitemanford.

Dude has TB manual clutch kits for $80-90 shipped.

Last night I seen a 88 with race head carb ect go for $190 shipped.

Prices come down now because there are so many sellers.

Whitemanford is the MAN.

Shop smart or pay more.

yeah, i get exactly what you're saying....but there is also something to be said for the NON-planetminis.com junkies that do NOT know exactly what works with what and depend on customer service and have 1000 questions after the sale.

Do-it-yourselfers -- more power to ya, hit up ebay and grab the deals. Hell, that's exactly what i do.

One-time novices getting a motor for junior, a vendor may be the way to go to get the after sales support that you need to get things installed and running.

I wasnt asking him if he knows what a gpx is. I was asking which motors on ebay because when I looked all I found was a bunch of lifan motors so go LMAO some where else. I am all about better deals. Hell bmx is selling them on ebay for cheaper then us dealers can buy a gpx for dealer cost. but go ahead and see if there are any more on ebay because I asked whiteman ford. and besides what is on there now he is out of them.

some it is worth alot, and others don't care but will be the ones who are on here bitching and whining that it is crap cause there ebay seller wont help them with any thing if it breaks
I will take my chances with any Ebay seller before I try that CRkid. He claims to be this "developer of engine parts etc.." but in just another thread the other day was trying to tell a guy that stacking base gaskets would not reduce his compression the same way that a thicker head gasket would. I think a 14 year old with a Clymer manual and one semester in auto shop knows more then he does.

Come on, this guy is just a salesman that tries to feed you his crap down your throat every time there is mention of someone buying something from someone other then him. His only interest, in my opinion, is his pocket and not the well being of anyone else. Of course he can send you free parts here and there when the engine breaks, he charged you $200 more then the other places.

So, in my opinion, I would rather take my chances with an Ebay seller that could possibly know what he is talking about rather then buy from that guy that certainly does not have a clue and wants to force his crap down everyone's throat when they did not even come close to asking for it. Eseentially you might get someone who does not know anything or pay $200 more and for surely get the guy who does not know much.

Forums should be a knowledge base for people who are all interested in the same thing. I have yet to see a F.A.Q thread, or a Forum users guide, but there are plenty of pointless threads from vendors trying to push their parts. I am sure a bunch of you guys are on other forums, I am not bashing planetminis.com, I just think a lot of useless posts could be avoided if people used the search function and we all worked together to develop a F.A.Q. Also, keep the vendors from posting in the threads. Most forums will only allow vendors to create posts for their topics and respond to direct questions, not push their products if someone asks for an opinion. Just a thought.

Staggs, what is funny is I didn't even give names and you posted in defense. If that is not guilt I don't know what is. Almost every post from TheCRKid has a link to his store. It is just getting to a point where you have to sift through so much junk, not just from vendors, to get any kind of good info. I am not picking a fight, just voicing my opinion. There is a new post every day asking a question that has been asked 100 times before.
