I'm looking to purchase an engine for a trike I have. I found one on ebay but need to know if this crack in the engine base can be repaired. I know anything can be repaired for a price but do you think this can be welded somewhat inexpensively at a local shop? Or is the brand new honda engine not worth repairing.

THANKS!!!!!!!!

ya think? So I could take it to a local welding shop and they'd say the same thing? I just don't wanna buy it from ebay and then find out it's not repairable or would cost $500 to fix it.

Maybe I could slather it with JB weld :) That stuff is awesome.

thanks

FYI "PLAY DOUGH FACT"

Mmmmm, Good!

Kids eat more Play-Doh than crayons, fingerpaint, and white paste combined.

sorry still doesnt fix your crack problem.:D

IS that the engine mount where it is cracked? If it is I would steer clear of it. I am an aluminum welding fool and could weld that in about 10 minutes like the guy above said. Welding it is no problem. Keeping it from cracking again is though. Aluminum is very different from steel in the way that vibration is a killer. I am quite sure that would break again from the vibration and abuse a motorcycle or trike sees. I could be wrong, but personally I wouldn't risk it.

G'Day!

kids love this stuff! There are so many different kinds of play dough...

engine cases can be welded very easily to fix any crack or hole and will hold up to any abuse, wear or tear....... on the other hand there are WELDERS or w-e-l-d-e-r-s!
