Here is the first round of mock-up of this new project. This is where the 178cc engine is going to go.

Lots of custom fabrication going on here.

14 rear wheel wheel from xl70

17 front wheel from ct90

34 rear sprocket

17 front sprocket

st90 front forks and trees

Shark Racing rear swing arm

We'll see how it comes out. What do you think about a blue frame and white tank?

Well, any body else have opinion?

Well, I ask for opinions because I am partially colorblind. So when I start talking silver or gray and blues they can sometimes mix.

Do you think white or more of an almond on the tank. The reason I ask is that there are two chrome inserts that go on the tank.

Also, do you think any pin stripes would set off the paint?

Here is what it looks like in stock form.

Why not do a throwback paint scheme similar to the '61-'68 CB77 Super Hawk 305 models? Honda had them in blue/silver, red/silver, black/silver, and white/silver. The offsets would look real good on a smaller version of the bike shown below.

There are plenty of areas you can use pinstriping the same color as the base color, to accent the silver areas.

That's pretty tough looking. Only the rear fender is part of the frame on my bike and I won't be running a front fender.

That hawk scheme does look really nice though.

It's going to be painted on Monday. So, any last words are appreciated. I'll be doing the build for the rest of the week and may have it on the road by next week's end.

So, like I said before, I have changed jobs and am off until may 1. I wanted to do a cross country mini-bike excursion, but didn't get as much time off as I wanted. Instead, I am doing the great minibike buildoff. 10 days.

Run the metal Z50M replacement red badges unless your S65 plastic badges are in good shape. A good set of NOS s65 badges will set you back $300, as they are the same as the Z50M plastic badges that the collectors gobble up..

idk about colors but i say pick a different seat and not the long stock one. i would go with something like a chopper springer seat almost. that would look sick along with some short and straight drag bars! thats what i would do if i had that project lol

Tank is now painted. I went with Heirloom White. It looks pretty close to the classic white they used back then....not smack you in the face white, but slightly off white I guess.

I am waiting for quotes for powdercoating as I think that is what I want to do with the frame.

Here is a pic of my 1964 C110 I started restoring about 10 years ago, sitting in my basement waiting to be finished. Man I love these old bikes.

Hey! I just purchased a s65 and I was wondering what suspension you have on the back of your bike. I like the look of the coils compared to the original.
Also, did you upgrade your electrical to 12v? This is my first bike! Cheers!
