He actually did 21. The prior record was 20. You can hear the people counting in the background.On the site they quoted him as saying he was already dizzy after ten so it was a matter of just holding on as long as he could. Kinda like being on the tea cups at Disneyland.
"Dave's first attempt was excellent. Doing 19 donuts within the allocated minute. This was a whole lot better than his admitted night previous attempt of 10. "- "i was getting too dizzy after just10 bloody donuts" he announced! Another two attempts with the crowd roaring both yielded 19 donuts.
This was going to be a little more difficult than first thought...On the 5th attempt, Dave managed to beat the unofficial record of 20 held by Gary Rothwell. By all accounts, Gary's record remains unofficial until the paperwork has been submitted. On the night of Dave's attempt, this had yet to be done so the compere announced that the paperwork for Dave's successfull attempt would be submitted the following day."
