I have an 02 XR50R for my son that I am trying to get him one more year out of. He is getting a little tall for it but not big enough to switch up to a 110 yet. I was thinking of putting a tall seat on it and possibly a rev box to give him a little more power. Are the rev boxes worth getting for a stock motor? What are some good brands for tall seats? I have seen a few on Amazon for $35ish and the BBR for $100. Is the BBR seat really worth 3x the price? Anything else I should look at?

The BBR one is made to fit the XR/CRF50, the cheap Amazon ones say they will fit the XR/CRF50...

I found the tall seat was a PITA ... didn't improve seating comfort at all, in fact made riding position worse. Not sure if its the quality of the foam, but not as good a feel as the OEM seating position....You feel like you are over elevated in the seat, whilst legs are only slightly more straight it doesn't feel as nice. I'd look for taller bars or top plate with raised bar seat & an extended gear lever for better positioning for longer legs over the raised seat option. Rev box seems to do nothing on standard motor, 88cc kit is the cheapest way to go to double the power.
