Ok here we go...
I'm a noob and am pumped to work on 2 of 3 z50's I've obtained. This will be my (75' Z50) 1st one and the one I street ride with my wife. I figured I would mess up mine so when I upgrade hers (78' Z50) I will hopefully make less mistakes from lessons learned. Maybe I can contribute to other noobs as I go but I doubt it with the depths of knowledge in this forum already.
Pic below as I bought the bike. When I bought it you can see it needs a bunch of work, is missing parts, etc. But that's the fun part! It was not running when bought. It turned over but felt like no compression there because it was so easy. No i didnt do an oil squirt test in cylinder because I'm going to put in a TB 108 anyhow. The kick start seems to sometimes get stuck or locked up. When I tear down the trans I'll maybe see why.
Named this project "Sloth" because it will be the slowest rebuild I do I suspect with it being the first and all.
I must say, I've been reading this forum and the support in it for a little bit now and without seeing how kick a$$ the people are here I may have decided to do much less to these rebuilds I'm about to do. Thanks to all for everything so far and everything to come.
