You should be able to find parts anywhere or everywhere. Like ebay, amazon, honda dealer, craigslist, webike, daxdodo, motorkit, trailbuddy etc...

Honda produced virtually the same bike for 40 years and there are still chinese clones being made today.

Well.. the chrome K1 top plate appears too wide for non-hydraulic forks. Are Z50 forks the same width as K0 70s? Note how the ST fork ears mount higher than on a K0. I think it's a much better "look" with the higher headlight, more like a K1.

K0 CT70 triple trees have the same spacing as K0-78, or so Z50's.

Are you planning to use the original tree that came on your ST70?? Isn't it badly bent?

Are you planning to use a CT70 fold down bar setup? Your high headlight mount might be a problem with fold down bars...the speedo might hit the bars..? The st70 that you pictured might have a larger, 6"headlight bucket on it too..? There may be more differences than you realize, so just triple check everything to be sure.

Step one will be to build a jig and try to repair the forks with a press and some heat. It's free. If that works, I'd like to try a Z50 top plate and BMX style bars. If that doesn't work, I'll have to decide between KO forks or possibly going with K1 forks (there appear to be some versions that have those) and a later speedometer.

Is the six inch headlight you reference similar to a CT90/ST90? Good catch. I'll measure the ears to see which are closer. The Japanese auction shows a neutral light that didn't exist on U.S. K0s and looks exactly like my ST90. I guess it could be either since the DAXs had the old style headlight until 1980 or so.

Regardless, it's both difficult and fun to try to figure it out.

The project came to a screaming halt today. I received the bike and the frame is buckled and twisted. I should have known from the pictures but hoped it was from bad camera angles.

Since many of the parts are Dax specific, I'm unsure of my next step. The bike was oddly free of rust and the motor turns easily. Perhaps a Dax tribute?

Not a good day. Hopefully the price was right. If not that is pretty shady seller. Time to ask some questions and get ready to leave the negative feedback. OTOH if the description was "you see what you get" then who knows?

I specifically asked if the frame was damaged before I bid.

After a couple texts and pictures, the seller offered a solution and I paid a fair price for some oddball parts. I don't believe there was mal intent.

Selling on eBay is tuff these days. Lots of fees and no seller protection.

On a positive note, the motor turns over. I installed a new plug, new kick starter, bolted the carb back on (was lying in the frame), poured gas in the inlet and it started right up with about ten minutes of work. Idles and revs great after sitting for at least 20 years.

This just came up, if you're interested.
HONDA CT70 ST70 DAX REMOVABLE FRONT FORK
That seems like a pretty good deal for someone who needs a removable front end. I'm going to stick with BMX style bars.

I already have this DAX which had 200 miles when I bought it. Still has a clear plastic cover over the brake pedal and almost perfect tires.

That's pretty awesome. I think the nicest I've ever seen(or at least heard about...pics?) In the US.
It's a neat little bike. I suspect it may have been homogenized when brought into the states. It should have had a km/hr speedometer and low exhaust. The transmission is one up and two down. The weird part is that neutral is between first and second. You have to shift twice to get it into second.

I bought it at a motorcycle swap meet in Los Angeles for $700 with clear title. DAXs just don't get the love of CTs.
