Could it be true! OH say it aint so guys. Will it be a longer crank on a 52mm piston? Any DETAILS????

I belive there 108 is a 51mm stroke with a 52mm bore

Stroke x bore

110cc = 52mm x 52mm

117cc = 51mm x 54mm

120cc = 52mm x 54mm

124cc = 54mm x 54mm

And with stoker you actually use a shorter rod and move the pin futher out on the crank so it drops deeper in to the motor giving it a longer stroke hence the term "stroker" If you where to use a longer rod you would have to move the pin toward the center of the crank and it would make it a short stroke motor, great for sky high revs.

yeah sorry, I have a 108 duh, I meant a 54mm piston on a longer crank (54mm stroke). Is there any proof that this is in the works? pics? anything? do i need to email mike? Has anyone talked to him about this?

Does what work, the 54x54 124? Yeah kitaco and takegawa both have them. And no I havent talked to mike, this is the first i heard of it, is it possible it's true I don't see why not it is deffinatley plausible. You do have to bore your cases for a bore bigger than 52mm tho or buy a set of already bored cases.

i already made a thread about this... haha. Old news dude. But I dont think that Mike plans on building a 124.

A.) He doesn't offer a compatible clutch

B.) The TB race head would be too restrictive to see much more power

C.) He would have to source a whole new crank assembly which apparantly is a headache.

Does this mean it will never happen? No. Does it look like its gonna happen? No.

You just ruined my day!! :( I still have high hopes! someone email them!

go to dratv.com, 54mm crank 220 bucks made in japan, comes with bearings and cam gear. than you jsut need a 84 link cam chain, which he sells, a 69mm tall cylinder and some new rings for ur 54mm piston. and the valves in the race head will be fine, thats what the gpx runs and it makes great power

Actually there are ZERO hopes of it happening. Why, because Mike does not sell enough 117's or 108's to justify R&Ding a new cylinder, crank, piston, etc. Basically the demand for it isnt there. So will you ever see a TB124, nope, not a chance.

West,

The cylinder is already in production, the piston is easy, it's the crank that won't happen due to lack of demand. Think of it this way. For every 50 88cc bore kits sold, a vendor sells a 124cc Kit. Out of the almost 6000 members in this forum, how many people have built their honda 50 motor out to 124cc's or larger? Not including the newer chinese based motors.

Very little demand to justify the tooling costs and the volume purchasing that needs to be done.

You can build your own TB124 if you want. You just need the 219 dollar crank from dratv.com. Then get the "114" kit for the chinese bikes. That will give you the proper piston and cylinder. Order up a TB race head. Get the longer cam chain and any other little stuff you might want/need. Bam, everything TB but the crank.

Yeah except for the stud spacing being different than a Honda motor.
