I have a delema about what to do with my 2013 stocker Ive got a 26mm carb not yet put on but i still want to keep the reliability w/ no headaches going too modded out as it is one of my back ups..So do I just go up with carb or should I do the V2 head and carb etc to wake it up..What size jets do I need running stock with 26mm carb...Need some input.. My other 2015 lxr has the 190 28mm very reliable dialed in to perfecton with all the goodies. I was wanting to try something dif with 2013..
My buddy just picked up pitster pro rider Kevin Bosch's 2010 lxr with the 4s Upower motor that thing is sweet..But I dont think that the 4s head will fit in the 155 or will it? Couldnt test its true power of the beast because his track was muddy as all get out today and the 4s had rear flat yet we had a blast running laps drfting on our other bikes in a slick as ice track yet mudd..

Ron are you going to run a Mikuni VM26? I have jet specs for stock 155, a starting point. If you need to get more power slap a V2 head on it. I'm not sure about the 4 valve head working or not, call Jeff he might know. Post a pic of it. Or sell it to me, I'll try it out and let you know. Lol.

i think a lot of guys bolt on a kit from t-bolt making it around a 184 or something, but you'll definitely want to get rid of the stock carb if you do that. i think the site said they come stock with only a 22mm carb? that seems really small for a 155

I've got the VM26 carb havent installed it yet due to figuring out what wroute I'm taking. I need to wake it up so I'm going to go with the v2 head. still up in the air if I want to keep stock bore or up the cc's. I'lll have to ask Vince at tbolt about that easy start system they make for this motor? don't know much about it but I think it does something to the timing to allow easier starts for modded motors? All my bikes had the 190's or I have built the 150 daytona's into stroker 190's which the decomp cam is a nice option..

My exhaust I'm running is the stainless pro circit system for the lxr..All you need in my case was the adaptor for the head port of the 190 (honda port) to match up to the pister head port (KLX port) But now I think daytona offers either port design when purchasing a new motor depending on what your putting it into..

Well I bought a new complete tb vm26mm Mikuni carb kit from Tbolt, plus one my personal favorite simple inexpensive part, kick start levers from Wholesale-Cycle, 13.5 spline with a 7" length in this case. Thank you both suppliers for super fast shipping!!
Most everything worked out great. But a few this were a miss. The cable was way to short and the tb air filter didn't cut the mustard either..Only becasue the straight boot fliter.. etc..No biggy just more parts to throw on shelf for another build. Had back up parts on shelf to get the simple job done..Anyway I was very impressed how it woke this stocker up..Holly crap, first fire plus it went from quiet to almost as throaty as my 2015 LXR 190..Well here it is, one part off the to do list..

Hey Rad...I have the jet specs I used on my 160 when I switched to the VM26mm race carb if you need them.

Thanks Jim, I went with the 155 for starters it seems to have great responce ripping aroung the hood and yard. But I am going to try to get her in the dirt here soon to see how it totally reacts. The carb kit came with few different sizes in which this was the smallest.. But man did it wake it up this stocker is a fun all around bike so if I do anymore to it is going to be the same deal as your back up bike with v2 head and stock bore 60mm kit.
