Reluctant my ass! You are tooling up for a major production line. I predict one per week will roll off the line until winter.

I cannot deny it, there are multiples of some bikes around here, but my plan is to start putting some bikes together along with some that are already done up for sale. If it makes you feel any better, the blue K2 Hardtail that was incomplete got sold a couple weeks ago to a buddy ( I also sold him two bikes I bought off him a while back, so that makes three cut from the herd!)

Cannot wait to see what is for sale... Although I do not believe I am in the market to buy... but I have said that before!
Well you know the old saying: everything is for sale, it's just a question of price. Even so, I'm more likely to sell either restored stockers, or something customized to order.

A 1971 Z50A leaving the shop for a new home. Original paint and chrome, 88cc kit with race head, 20mm carb, high volume oil pump and heavy duty clutch. The engine was broken down to bare cases and rebuilt with new tranny bearings, and all new gaskets and seals. The header was opened up and a new larger stinger added. The wheels were rebuilt, forks serviced, new cables, tires, sprockets, chain, and seat cover. The tank had been sealed before I got it, and was stripped and re-lined with epoxy. The lower white portion of the tank was re-sprayed. The hardware has been re-plated with cadmium.

A couple early Z50R's came throughn the shop recently. This one is a 1979 model and was a hodge-podge of parts and a roached engine. The engine was rebuilt back to stock, with only the original cases and tranny used in the rebuild. Someone either put a later engine or switched out the crank to a long-rod one, an early Z50A lighting stator had also been put on it at some point, and the muffler was from a later (88-99) model. A HondaTB red tank, an aftermarket seat, fenders, and number plates came on the bike. Even though this model was originally Tahitian Red, I had some color-matched Blaze red enamel on hand, and the owner was just wanting a rattle-can job to match the fenders, so they got the Blaze Red. There was a bunch of generic hardware on the bike that was replaced with freshly plated original pieces.

The 1979 model had some carry-over and unique parts. The micro-fiche shows the 1972-1978 brake pedal was one of two types, with the modern flat one coming in at some point. The one that came on the bike was like the chrome one on the bike now, but painted black. The rear brake rod was either a yoke-type where it connects to the pedal or one that is simply bent at the end. The wheel hubs appear to be 72-78 model type. The left number plate mount is different too, with a mounting at the top of the bracket to a tab coming off the bottom of the rear frame.

The engine was running when it came into the shop, but had been ridden without oil and the owner wanted it to be gone through. At first it looked like maybe just a new top end and clutch might do the job, but digging in a little further revealed an oil pump impeller that was rusted together, leading to the oil pump drive shaft teeth to be sheared off and a burned up clutch. The cases were split, a used cylinder, head, clutch and crank from a bike from the same era were used along with a new piston.

There is a 1984 Z50R in the background that got some new tires and an 88 kit and race head. More on that one later...

Some HondaTB heavier duty rear shocks and a BBR set of bars were added to make it more adult friendly.

The 1984 Z50R with original paint next to the 1979 shows the color match on the Blaze Red is right on. A HondaTB race head and cam, 88cc piston and cylinder, and 20mm carb and intake woke up the engine. A heavy duty autoclutch, high volume oil pump, drive chain, new points, condenser, and plug were also used in the rebuild.

After engine rebuilds, I do the 20 minute break-in and then dump the oil hot.

Nothing but small Honda's around here. Been reviving, rebuilding, repairing and selling a bunch recently.

A 1971 SL70 custom that was rebuilt a number of years back was pulled out and revived for a potential customer.

This 1974 had a busted transmission when it came to the shop. The tranny was switched out for a good used one, and a fresh piston, rings, and clutch rebuild was done. Some re-plated hardware and a new seat cover were added and it was sent out the door with a new owner.

One of the first minibikes I ever bought, This 1973 CT70 has an 88cc kit. I sold it to a friend a couple years ago, and he was bringing it back for a fuel system clean. Ended up with a new HondaTB 20mm carb and intake.

The 1974 again and a1973 that was revived for a customer.

This 1976 got an engine rebuild, some new HondaTB forks, shocks, and tank, and a bunch of other new parts to bring it back to its former glory. The guy who brought it by had ridden it as a child, and it needed a lot of love.

Another z50 brought to me by someone who got it in third grade and is now around 50 years old. It got a good carb and tank clean, petcock rebuild, oil change, clutch service, and some general maintenance.
