Lifan 125cc Semiauto Wiring - Guidance Needed

hello.

i am having difficulty wiring my Motoped.

i have the 125cc Lifan Semiauto.

so what's confusing me is:
1. The Coil I have only has on terminal on it, instead of a hot and ground that all others seem to have and that the Motoped instructions guide to. What do I do in the absence of the second terminal for the ground? Ground to frame by jolting coil pack directly to it?

2. There are 2 solid green wires coming from engine buy only one wire that it can be hooked to? Ie two green wires with female ends but only one with a male on the wiring harness. Which one do I choose?

thanks

The coil needs a hot and a ground
your coil gets its ground from the mounting bolt

you may have a green coming from a neutral indicator , that wont be needed

thank you for this!

but the issue is that my harness has two green leads and a black/white lead. the issue is how do i determine which plug into eachother?

it seems like there is going to be one wire from both the harness and engine unused. if you see in the picture, 4 of the 6 ends are female.

there are only 2 male ends that need to be connected to something and i am trying to determine to what they are connected

added some photos.

can someone guide me as to which wires unaccounted for connect to eachother?

also, does the coil 100% need to be bolted metal to metal to the frame to be grounded since there is no grounding wire lead terminal on it? it seems like there is only a hot lead.

THANK YOU

The green/red is the neutral indicator (don't need)

The coil needs to be bolted to the frame to get its ground

Often wire harnesses have multiple grounds , these connect together in the harness so its basically the same wire

So looking at it again I just realized there is a black and white wire in the bundle too.

The engine harness has:
1. Solid Green with male connector
2. Green with red stripe male connector
3. Solid yellow with female connector
4. Solid white with female connector

The ECU harness has:
1. Solid green female connector
2. Solid green female connector
3. White with black stripe female connector

can someone please just tell me which goes to which?

I know the male solid green and the female solid green need to be connected 100%.

foes the green with red stripe male connector go into the solid green with female connector or white with black stripe female connector?

thank you!

Plug the matching solid green wires together, I'm thinking the extra solid green wire and the black/white tracer wire would be used if you had an ignition key, I would consider them extra, as well. Especially since you already have a kill switch plugged. The wiring harness itself may be universal, with applications for a variety of other bikes, and you would have wires left over.

ok thank you everyone.

also, are Lifan 125cc wire harness interchangeable?

i have two motors for the motoped, the semi and the manual.

The manual wiring harness is much less complicated and will lend itself to a cleaner install.

are all of the electrical parts on Lifan engines of the same engine size (cc wise) interchangeable?

Thanks
