As a married man I have learned to never total up what I spend on a hobby.
Example:
Wife "How much have you spent on those stupid motorcycles"
Me "I don't know"

Happy home and I did not tell a lie.

HAHAHAH guess i got lucky..mine doesnt mind and is contemplating a mini build for herself

seriously tho..the fade line on that orange one..and worn off paint even the color just lend it to be a really cool build as is

I have insurance on the red bike but no tag because I have to jump through hoops for that.

Mopeds are big in Atlanta because anything under 49cc does not need a tag. Most cops don't mess with small bikes because they assume they are all mopeds.

It has been over 24 hours since I posted a picture. Here is one from today's ride. Found this guy chilling at an abandoned rail yard.

In all how much do you have invested in the red bike? I just like knowing prices on things haha you dont have to tell your wife :laugh2:
I got a running / driving CT70 and 4 Chevy C10 truck hoods for $500. Hoods are for a different project... If we applied values to the hoods then the bike was about $300. Now for the math:
$300 initial investment
  • $200 (credit) sold the 70cc lifan engine that was on it
  • $475 160cc engine with Yoshi exhaust (used)
  • $110 VM26 carb
  • $40 Cheap Chinese controls (throttle clutch lever etc)
  • $60 rear rack
  • $150 fuel tank
  • $315 forks with hub and disc brake
  • $55 headlight brackets (not worth it, should have made my own)
  • $130 for 12in wheels
  • $100 Michelin tires
  • $16 Honda brake shoes for the rear
  • $15 12 volt regulator
  • $50 lighting (bulbs wire and such)
Brings it to $1616 but that does not take into account the parts that could have been sold but instead we re-purposed on the green bike

I know a guy who got around that CC issue by installing a 49cc stamped jug, however, it was really an 88cc to appear it was only 49.

Doesnt' look to bad. I want a slim, low pro seat on mine too.... Have you found anyone that sells them pre-made?
No, I wish there were more options out there for us. I am not fond of the banana style seats that are big in Japan and Europe.

It has been days since I posted a picture. Here is another one from the most recent ride. I put stock ST90 shocks on the back of the green CT70. They are more stiff and the perfect upgrade for the spare parts bike.
