My trx70 is smoking and needs a rebuild I have a motor off one of my bike bikes that is a 88 with a e22 head it's off a 50 base would this work on my trx?

Yes it will work. The E22 head is a chinese produced head that comes spec'd on chinese motors. I see nothing special about this head, as it's spec'd on motors from 70cc's up to 107ccs. It has a unique roller bearing cam that is very mild, and Honda roller bearing cams do not fit. You can have Crower grind you a custom cam, or you can purchase a decent one from Dratv.com for much cheaper then crower. You have to use a domed piston.

Upgrade to a 88 cc kit & rejet your stock carb.

Does the trx 70 have the short rod motor? If so the piston wont do you any good.

Unless its a short rod Z50 or another older iteration the piston will not work.

Order some rings and hone the cylinder, if the piston isnt too bad. The e22 head should bolt on as well. If I remember correctly with the stock 13mm carb on my 88cc ATC build 68 was about all she'd take. Order 5 or so different jets to be covered, mods like air filters and new carbs will require jetting changes as well.

I think I'm just going to order the 88 kit tmas posted earlier and then a little bigger carb and maybe a exhaust. For little more bit out if the old guy and sound. I'm not going to go to crazy with it I'll probably just get a exhaust of eBay and play around with it see how I can mod it up to work and look non hacked

just make sure its for a short rod motor, those 52mm tall dome pistons rent cheap.
