U just gave away all ur cards bro. I have first dibs on the bike chad. I called it via text, call, pm, and thread. Don't let me down bro!!!
Ha ha yea I did.... oh well. I'm going up against some talented metal fab guys, I don't stand much of a chance of beating these boys. But it sure will be fun as heck to try :)

Lol you know this is going to be set up as an asphalt burner not dirt right?

Okay, mine has rolled in the bay doors of the Toddegawa shop. Mine was adrift in the shipping carton and even though the box was labeled DO NOT LAY ON SIDE, it had clearly been laying on all six sides at one time or another during it's trip to my shop as pieces of bike were poking out of holes on all sides.

Here it is parked next to a mostly stock Z50 for size comparisons.

I am challenged by Chads idea for a single sided swingarm. I could not source one so I will have to fab my own. Except mine will have two sides.....and wont actually swing.....or move at all.
Ha yea I didnt make this easy on myself. The 1 sided swinger I'm going to do will pivot and as you already know I can't even steal anything from another bike it will be all custom tailored.

The 4140 stock I order should arrive sometime end of this week. Should be fun to do, I haven't had a hard challenge for a while guess I'm due for one eh

Okay, but remember the $10k limit...

Getting things started up here. Just taking things off so far. My ideas on which way to go on this project are still shifting around. Part of me wants to go with something more practical but the other part wants to go with something more performance oriented. I went ahead and got this Honda engine thinking I was going to go down the practical route. Gotta say I like how it looks in the frame. The way I figure it, what this bike needs is a longer wheelbase, a little more height, and some power. The frame Will certainly get chopped some. The rear subframe will get whacked off immediately and probably going to widen the middle of the frame. The motor mount will probably get lowered and the pegs will probably get moved as well. I'm going to try and keep the engine as forward as I can to keep the balance right. Still probably going to do a practical utility bike.

It looks like my Predator engine is a clone of that Honda. I set mine in the frame last night too and it does look bitchin. I have a torque diverter on order but fitting it will require chopping the frame at some critical structural points.

Here we go... Those GX motors are great! A ton of sanctioned kart racers run this type so performance mods should be available for it around clutches, etc.

Are the wheels 1 or 2 pieces?

HFM,
The wheels are one piece steel.

Ok, I got mine put it together and took for a good long ride to see what the old girl had to tell me. First thing she said was that I either needed to lose some weight or a bigger engine was definitely needed if i wanted to enjoy the bike. LOL It went 22mph right out of the crate with the governer hooked up and 28mph when I adjusted it out. Since I plan on keeping this bike in my trailor when it is finished to cruise around at the races I don't want it too exotic. I have a lot of thoughts about what I want to do and how far I should go, but my conscious keeps telling me to keep it simple and clean. I think I am going to pick up one of those Predator engines right after work today.

Dave you need to let me know the secret to getting a black seat. I will trade you for this red one as it will not go with what I have planned?

Here is the bike when I got home from work:

After about 30 minutes of riding I stopped at the corner convenient store and got me a bottle of water:

I tell you what for $399 this little bike is hard to beat.
