So I sold my 88kit xr50 and my stock 110 earlier this year and now its starting to sink in and I want another lol. I Ride a drz for my fun bike and I have a grom for a daily commuter. The groms not really wheelie worthy for me and the drz feels way high up trying to wheelie so I want another mini to screw around on :) I'm tempted to get a 70 since its a slightly bigger version of the 50. Will it be decently as light weight? my klx 110 weighed in at a ton compared to the 50. I'm almost positive it'll get street tires and be used mostly for me to practice wheelies but might occasionally let the gf use it up north on the trails when I take my 426 for some riding. Oh yea i'm also not looking to break the bank ;) been searching the craigslist and local sites seeing is I can find one for a steal but so far the best deal I think I've found is 600 for a xr70 that I don't know year or condition yet. ah i'm just blabbing if you read it cool if not I won't be hurt just laying out my thoughts :) thanks

70 is much lighter then a 110. It only gains weight over the 50 because of bigger wheels and forks. I liked stunting my 70 but some people don't like how much harder it is to get the front end up vs a 50. Hope this helps a little

I've had em all 50 70 and 110. The 70 is a little bit heavier than a 50 but WAY lighter than a 110. The 70 has a much longer wheelbase than the 50. I had street tires on mine for a while and it's kinda hard to wheelie in stock form but I'm not really good at wheelies so I'm not sure what that's worth. They're a really fun bike but there's not the amount of parts out there like there is for a 50. Finding an extra set of stock wheels so you can have dirt and street tires may be difficult/expensive. All the engine parts are the same but almost everything else is different.

How much power do they have compared to a 50? It sucks that I can find a 70 cheaper than a 50 right now. Maybe i'll have to sweet talk my buddy into selling me his stocker 50. It just sucks because I had everything for a 50 two sets of wheels dirt and street I did put a +2 swinger on it which made wheelies a bit more difficult but i'm no good at them either :) I knew I should have kept that bike :banghead:

When I had my xr70 I could out run 50s with 88 kits and mine was bone stock motor, IRK, pipe baffle pulled with header welded from outside and inside ground out to match pipe diameter, and a uni foam filter with stock 17mm carb. Thing was a blast. That bike was a blast and I probably had over 1000hrs on that bike when I sold it never was rebuilt. I think that if you can find a 70 for cheap get on it. You will not be unhappy at all!

Hmm well its probablt going to come down to whether my buddy would sell me his 50 or I find a 70 cheap enough. I loved the torque my 110 had but god it was so pig heavy. The 50 was great I could hop that thing up curbs all day and i'm not light ;)
