i just got into the "mini scene" and from what i can tell, its going great. so cal anyways. last weekend there was a good turn out of riders from what i could tell and i think this weekend is going to be jsut as good if not better. if you have been riding for awhile it might seem like its dying and getting boring, but im just getting into the scene and from what i can tell its going great and im stoked on it.

So I was looking for an old thread, and I came across this one. Check out the date of the last post! Haha!

Just wondering what's been going on, and if your local scene has picked up at all? Here in NE Ohio, it seems like it's coming back, but in a deviated form. Stockers and bigger play bikes seem to be making a come back. There's been at least 4 or 5 guys at the local spot every Thursday night this summer. Hell -- tonight we had about 8 guys out, one guy was hauling on an RT100! I rarely use the "pit" bike name anymore, I've been calling them "play" bikes these days. Seems like it's better understood by the masses that way. What's cool, is that from what I've been seeing, folks are basically just enjoying the bikes as they are w/o dumping a ton of money into them. I haven't seen many heavily modded bikes which IMO, is what it takes to rekindle the smoldering scene. Hopefully the fun is on the way back, guys ridin' and racin' just for the fun of it on whatever they got in the shed. --L*64

mini scene is dead here in the central valley Cali, but its been that way all the time ive lived here (7years now) but it does not really matter how the "scene" is to me if i enjoy it im gonna do it!
ive been MIA around here the last two years due to personal reasons and mostly lack of $$$ to put the bike back together but mark my words while the bikes been down the Mooie compound has been getting some
BIG changes ;)
the "Scene" here at the Mooie compound might be quiet but its not dead

Moooie! Where the hell have ya been bro?? I was just thinking about ya about a month ago. I was thinking that I hadn't seen ya post up in awhile, and I was wondering about those CRF110 frames. How's it going?

I know the scene is going pretty solid in Canada too. My bud was up there racing, and he said thay had full pit bike gates. --L*64

I think the groms are gonna bring it back

Sucks to hear bro! I've been struggling a bit financially since 2008, but I've had my head down plowing through ever since. I've been riding and racing my stock 150F since 2010 with no regrets at all. I only bought that bike to pull the motor, and send it with a 150R frame to Service Honda to try a conversion with. I rode it once because my other bike had a flat tire, and liked it so much, I said F*** the conversion, I'm running her like she is! Glad you're hanging in there anyway, stop by and say hey every now and again, will ya?

About the CRF frames? IMO-- somebody needs to do a better stock mod swinger for this bike. Something square tubed and chromoly. The main frame seems fine.

Last week at our local track-- we had about 10 guys show up on pit/play bikes. Ever since I got into it with the Pee Wee parents, the Pee Wee kids have been on the Pee Wee track, and the mid track has been loaded with pit/play bike guys. A few of the parents have been eying the scene with some interest in joining the party themselves. Kinda promising IMO. I've been saying it for a year now. We NEED a state by state "where to ride" guide on here, and the forums need to be re-sorted and arranged for the bikes we ride in 2014. THEN we'd likely be in biz. Anybody have any pull around here? --L*64
