Hi all, I just picked up an unmolested 1976 ct70. I tried to check for spark and when I kick it, it either just spins without moving the piston, or it locks up a little, then it'll spin again. I checked the timing chain, and it's intact. Can someone tell me what to check next? I tried the search function here and got no results. Thanks...

I would try adjusting the clutch & if that fails I'd pull the clutch cover off & have a look. Check link for manual.
