Looks like mx to me bc of how thick the spring is

I honestly like fast ace more the Dnm. But that's just me

I love elka but its to bad they dont make an a-style shock but i plan on saving to do a super pro and elka rear end...does anyone make relocation brackets?
You can find elka stock mod shocks

I like the Fast Ace shocks, run one in an xr50r and will be running another one in my Z50R project bike. I run the non reservoir versions as they appear less delicate and fitment is easier when you swap from laydown to upright. Even a remote reservoir version of shock is often better than piggyback as it give you better mounting opportunities.
A local shop here showed me some DMN they had for spares, but had larger coils. They were failed/broken units & still looked like new - so didn't give a good feeling about using that budget line of shocks.

The good about fastace - exceptionally good value, Nitogen units, solid construction, have been very reliable for me ! Other issue of getting the right spring weight - if you want to use it as an mx style upright shock rather than the laydown CRF position I needed spring weight of about 350lb. I found you can get mountain bike springs to fit these fastaces, wheras a lot of other shocks you are limited to their spring weight choices.

Only negative other things I can say are:
You need to lube the dampening adjuster shaft from new - its raw metal that seems to want to rust if left untreated.
Rebound knob adjustment is pretty sensitive - only takes a miniscule bit more to change the characteristics, but it works.
It would also be nice to have compression dampening, but that comes with way more dollars.
Choice's in spring weights at purchase of 250lb or 550lbs just doesn't suit my needs - 350 or 400lb would be better for MX style swingarm with teenaged rider.

Hope this helps, Darrie.
