Well today i got some machining done , i'am making solid plugs to put the frame back together . I cut them from 1" bar stock on a lathe .
My friend Craig Brooks who builds hot rods let me use the lathe in his shop . I spent 5 1/2 hours in front of that lathe cutting these plugs , guess i'am slower than most machinist .

Well got the motor mounted , i'am using the four bottom holes mounted to the motor plate on the bike. I built another rear mount to go from the rear of the motor plate to the lower mount on the engine .

Well wholesale cycles yes we do . This past saturday we got her fired up and damn that is a bad asss motor , the sound alone is music to ones ears .
It was dark so just did a couple of burst up and down the driveway , and yes everyone was right way to much motor for anything on wheels and really for a for vintage minibike . But you got to admit she looks bad asss with the Daytona on it and most people can't even see the 3 inch stretch i did . But back to testing sunday rode it again and it had a flat front tire so rides were short . The main problem is keeping the front end on the ground and i haven't got it out of second gear yet . This thing is evil . I have a tube and brake cable ordered and will ride it one more time before i take it apart for new powder coat and the whole front end is going to be chromed . Also the tank and fenders are going to be bonanza yellow .

I would look at reinforcing that head tube as well... I may be way off here, but that joint/weld looks iffy...

I bet it's insane to ride right now.

HMF yea you are probably right , but the weld is pretty solid . But it is only 7/8 tube and it is what it is 1971 minibike frame , that motor should not be there . Also we have friends in Cali that have these with 18 - 20 hp kart motors on them and they run high speeds and they seem to hold together . And one more thought this bike and motor combo will never see it full potential we will take it to Windber Pa to a minibike show and then it will sit in my brothers garage with the other stupid fast mini's i have built him . I 'am trying to get him to swap out the piranha 140 on my SSR so i can put the 190 on it .
