Use the XR/CRF spacer on the sprocket side when you install the Z wheel in place. Just check the gap at the brake panel side and use 12mm flat washer(s) accordingly.
No, not on any of the hardtail frames, they have a taller steering stem neck. The '73 through '99 Z forks will not work on a hardtail frame either, for the same reason.
I would also add a 70 swing arm if you plan on running a z wheel. Its not necessary but the z wheel has some wide tires you can put on.
My friend runs a 4.8 wide rear tire.
But you can get away with a 3.5 wide tire on the stock swing arm.
So the wheel and spacer should touch on chain side then im just adding washers to fill in the gap on the brake side right? Thays what ive been told but I see you have the spacer and washers on same side.... Dont mean to sound dumb lol im just wanting to make sure I have it right lol. I appreciate everyones help
Im running a different arm.
Just add the washers to what ever side needs it. Look at the chain to see if its parallel to both sprockets.
I put that pic as an example.
did this once to my xrz50 hybridbuild. but i didnt use washers, i had an extra wheel spacer took it to a machine shop and they chopped in half and beveled both sides, it worked perfect ill try to find it in my tool box and take pics and measurements
