I came to the realization that it doesn't make clean enough power for delicate electronics... I'll just buy rechargeable AAs for the go pro and only use that as an emergency phone charger....

I filled up with premium for the first time yesterday and went for a trail ride today and it was running hot and started sputtering and making weird noises.... I don't think it likes premium. Anybody ever had this happen? I had to switch back and forth from choke on to choke off to get home at more then 20mph....
I'm working on finding free "panniers"

Just went over a few things' can chain is nice and tight, as are the valves

All right I think the problem is it's running lean with the easy to ignite 85 octane but with the 91 into enough of it's igniting so it's running leaner and thus hotter, and the symptoms were due to overheating not the fuel...
I'm at 500 miles on it since I got my full M endorsement 2 weeks ago... that's more then I put on that spree in one month riding back and forth to work

alright bike is officially off the market(unless i can find a way to trade for that strom 1000).... oh and i broke the rear shock completely
Image

stock 50 shock is standing in.

i will be posting a WTT ad for a foot peg bracket and some kind of rear shock that's at least 70 length. i have one 10" rim, one basically new shinko 2.75-10 knobby tire and 2 pairs of 14/12 knobbies, i think dunlop and cheng shin... i would also be willing trade the 50 shock but i would need to receive the replacement first

more breakage and no new mods, im getting no power to the lights but if i hook a car batt up to positive and the frame they light up so its got to be the lighting coil or the lighting coil ground.... so i have to figure that out... more wear too....

i do have like 800 dollhairs burning a hole in my pocket and i know someone with an fjr1300 basket case that he wants gone... so that's tempting

not that i have seen, in narrow 14 inch the only choices i know of for legal street tires are the shinko and the cheng shin they both look like trials tires. maybe if you can fit a wide enough rim for a 120\80r 14 like comes on yamaha majesties then a 120 or 130 12 inch in back

i just bought this yesterday it will be getting its own thread over in the ttr50 forum soon. and may even replace the 70

it is a 2008 i am the second owner :D

Can i lace a rear 12" 70 rim on a front stock 14" hub.

Whats a direct bolt in option for me on the front rim. I see going w 12 would allow the options & just more rubber. I just want to keep the bike stock, other than the wheels. Just make them look beefy

from everything i have heard you can fit a 120/70-12 on the rear of a stock bike.. as for the front. you can use a rear rim but custom spokes will set you back a bit from buchanan... oem rear rims are really cheap, like $25.

i also remembered the irc nr77 80\90-14

maybe you should talk to Ryan Moore of 50stunt about what these tires are

maybe i don't know much about the china wheels on 70s
for dirt there's two options. an extra set of wheels or you get more practice with tire irons swapping back an forth on the same wheels... you should be able to get knobbies for just about any wheel size combo that will fit a 70

here is a 12\12 crf70 if you were wondering what it looks like http://planetminis.com/forums/complete-bikes-sale-all-makes-models/143544-2004-crf-70-motard.html

i like being able to run the exact same tires front and back, its just easier and cheaper, which is one of the reasons there's now a ttr in my garage

good luck man

those wheels may be designed for crf50 brakes so watch out for that...
the vee rubbers that come on groms are supposed to suck on anything but warm asphalt
i cant help much on what size dirt tires
