Four speed shift drum

Is this a good product because I would love to make my 110 1 down and 3 up. Would neutral be just like I big bike like how if you shift up from 1st it wouldn't go into neutral and it would go into 2nd

Oh yeah I have a chp clutch kit and do I need to do anything else if I get a 4speed drum

Your stock clutch basket & plates will work just fine.

Haven't ridden a 1down3up Tak but I installed a Kitaco quick shift drum and it's a big improvement in the feel at the shift lever. Don't forget a heavy duty shift star for the drum.

Yes in order to run a 1 down 3 up it needs a special shift star. The stock 3/4 up would not work with a 1 down 3 up shift drum. I want to go to a 1 down 3 up but i think im gonna go with the stock 110L shift drum and star

The guy i bought my 110 from he had his with 4th gear and at end of drum u shave off tab

There is no tab on the 4th gear shift drum, it has a groove that the shift fork nub thhing rides in, so if you want to make the stock drum work you would have to cut a grrove into it

Which even then would be extremely difficult to get right without special equipment.

Yes, the Tak would have to come with one. Was thinking of a 4 up shift drum. Too bad about the CHP 2nd gear, I would recommend one of those if they were still available.

I wouldn't guess it would be that easy, spend the few bucks if you want 4th gear and go. How are the quick shift kits compared to just a standard 4sp drum?

The standard lever action is a large lever movement up and down
the quick shift make it a smaller movement
personally i would go to a bottom neutral set up like TB
then add the CHP shift star for longevity

Yea but then if you don't make it high enough to engage the fourth gear it won't even work, it will 10x easier to just buy one!
