Its pure crazyness at the checkpoints. Last year while waiting for my minute to come up, there was a line of 8 or 9 beasts standing in a line and everytime someone would rev up their bike, they would slap themselves in the ass repeatedly. But I have seen a few ok chicks walking around, but the vast majority are zoo animals.

Well played with the jetting of my vm26 carb on the bike today. had bogging way down low and would only run with the choke on. So i went up on the pilot jets from 22.5 all the way up to 32.5 right now and still has some bogging but clears up with the choke on so to me that sounds like it not getting enough fuel still. Im trying to fix the lower end of the throttle response first, but its running a 175 main jet not sure off the top of my head what the need clip position is. lol

I doubt i need that much fuel for the main jet i would think a 165 would be plenty for mid to top but thought i would fine tune that after i get low to mid throttle response fixed? idk anybody ever run a vm 26 on a xr 100 with a bbr 120 big bore kit on a conversion using a airbox?

I got a 35 pilot jet left to try and if not i will have to order more from jets r us soon i guess.

I hate jetting bikes worst part of building stuff lol

I get to look forward to the joys of jetting a carb Sunday. It's ok when you have a baseline to use, but I couldn't find squat. XR80 engine, ported head. TB XR100 cam, Keihin PE22 (XR100) carb, Uni sock filter and custom exhaust. Starting with a 100 main/38 pilot clip in middle position.

I hear ya on that i could not fine a baseline for mine either. Hope yours goes better then mine! lol

Your right on that ive noticed it with them carbs with two same style motor setups. Well threw the 35 pilot in and she ran better on the bottom just had a bog in the mid so dropped the clip down to the 2nd notch from the bottom. Took it for a spin and she runs pretty good finally got it making some power and rideable finally! lol now i have clutch slippage problems seems to rev very fast but does not acclerate much so it aint bogging its slipping. I easied into the throttle to get to topend once to see how the jetting was and she seems to run find even after letting off the gas no back firing even with a big 175 main jet i was suprised i thought id have to lower it to a 165 or so.

So now im wondering what i should do as far as clutch parts what springs and clutch plates should i get? Also i will be putting in a high volume oil pump in it since i doubt it has one, might as well while im there. Any other suggestions?

Take it from the king of all clutch abusers, oem fibers is the only way to go. Last year I smoked 5 aftermarket clutches, but Honda fibers outlast them all by far. I also prefer oem springs.
Yes on the oil pump asap. I currently run hi volume pump, through a chinese cooler, and also drilled case for under piston oil spray.
Stormin pointed me to some hyper drive clutch disks from CHP, but I havent tried them.
Glad you got the jetting going in a positive way.
I am slowly assembling my 150R/250X conversion, but had a major setback. Motor fell off my bench and cracked left engine case. So complete disassembly to replace case half, and it only made sense to replace crank, piston, upgrade to R head/cam, and valves. $1,100 later and Ive got motor almost ready for the frame.

Who sells the high volume oil pump or where can i order one from? I will look into the clutch parts and cover gasket. Whats this drilled case mod also i assume a oil passage hole that was enlarged?

Just got notice that my ls1 shortblock for my trans am is done at the machine shop so not sure if im gunna be able to order everything i need for the bike yet till i pay this bill! lol

Did you use the TB 26mm carb kit? I think I have to take that long intake it comes with chop it up to a stub, weld it then bolt everything up.
Yes i used that kit, had to cut and reweld the intake i just used the flange off it and put it on my dmc conversion intake since it was already perfect size and fit.

The drilled case mod is 2 holes drilled in left case half above the main bearing. One straight down and the other on an angle to spray oil to underside of piston. Search over at TT for a thread from Firefighter343 and he has a detailed write up about it. I was worried that adding the piston sprayer and oil cooler would be too much for the oil pump to handle, but so far that hasnt been an issue.
