Yeah big price difference. I would probably just do the basic race head for my little stunter. My smart friend didn't torque my head bolts right so I blew a headgasket yesterday. I'm hoping that's all the damage there is. I checked the valve lash and it's a bit off from what it was adjusted to when I put on the 88 kit. the exhaust side is up to .006 from .003 so I'm just hoping there's no head damage.

The head in the pic IS NOT the V2 race head. Look at the cam cover its flat. Here is what the new V2 race head looks like. Here is 2 links .TB Roller Rocker Race Head V2 Kit for 88cc & 108ccZ50 CRF50 XR50 & Pit bikes - TB Parts - CRF50 XR50 Z50 88-Up - TBW9102 - TBolt USA, LLC and .TB Roller Rocker Race Head V2 108cc Big Bore KitZ50 CRF50 XR50 & Pit bikes - TB Parts - CRF50 XR50 Z50 88-Up - TBW9109 - TBolt USA, LLC Look at the pic close click on it. The new race head has a round cam cover and they dont make a 54mm piston for it yet so you cant get it as a 117.. Only a 88 or 108 so the head in the pic is of the older style race head.. They still make the older style brand new its just not the biggest head for a CRF50 that TB makes. This new one is.. ilder styly 25/22 valves. The new style 28.5/23.5 Here is the race head you have http://tboltusa.com/store/tb-roller...er-rocker-race-head-v2-108cc-big-bore-kitbrz50-crf50-xr50-pit-bikes-p-8607.html The valve tappet covers are different on the new head. They no longer take those stock round CRF covers there now oval thats the best way to tell..

If you look closely at his photo you can see it IS the new race head because you can see the roller rockers and that it has the new 3 bolt cam sprocket cover also it doesn't say it's a 117 it says it was a 117 but it was tired so he bought the NEW V2 88 kit an then the crank to make it a 108.

yep it is the V2 the cam cover is in with the intake mani.

Oh ok so you guys are saying he hasnt posted a pic with the NEW head on the bike. I was going off of the picture with the engine in the bike. And that engine has round tappet covers and the NEW head dosent use them. They are oval like +R head or KLX. Cool well lets get a pic with that head on an engine lol.. My bad thought everyone was talking about the pic with the engine in the bike. Where the bike is all black.. I made a booobooo.. :banghead:

Ok yeah you are looking at the bike photos before he bought the V2. It had a kitaco 117 SE-ultra in when he first built it but that motor was worn so I built him a V2 88 but he has now decided to upgrade to the 108. There is a pic of the new V2 head still in plastic.

ive had the bike out for a ride , but with an 88 motor in it as I havnt got the 108 back

the zochie brakes keep fading even after they have been bled & it also has a 200mm rotor so you would think it would stop great

I purchased a ktm master cylinder as a mate has one on his zochies & it works a treat
