Ok no doubt going to sound like a daft question to you guys but want to convert my CRF70 to rear disc brake set-up. Seen lodsa people have done it which swingarm and disc brake set up is most commonly used?

Want it done properly as I'm a rather aggresive rider, been looking to uprate the swinging arm at the same time what do you recommend for the whole set up inc rear brake? Seen a few people use mountain bike 6pot Hope set ups? Is this a self build or does anyone sell the kit to bolt straight on?

I'm based in the UK and the 70's aren't so common out here so proving to be a tad difficult soursing parts like this...

Cheers

Well I think theres really 3 other ways. One is to use a +4 crf50 swinger and lace a BBR crf50 disc kit to a 12" wheel. Another way is to use the reeg 70 setup but those are extremely rare these days. The last way is to get out the welder!

You mention a +4 swingarm kit... Who's make is that? Had a look at a couple of option Reeg was one of them but as you say there very rare it seems...
I knew the CRF50 swinging arm kit fitted but haven't seen a +4 option yet only 2 1/2 and 3...
Can easily get a BBR CRF50 disc set up as have a trade account with them AS LONG AS THEY REPLY TO MY EMAILS... and they haven't discontinued the set up...
Lacing a 12'' wheel would be simple also as live a few miles from a wheel building company...

Sano and five 0 are two companies that I know that made +4 swingers for 50s, which works out to a +2 on a 70. Good lucking finding one new. BBR has most of the parts for the rear disc kit last time I talked to them which was a few weeks. Call them for the best results, or pm them through this website, they have an account.
