Hey guys

Im running a Mikuni VM 26-606 with my tb 108 and the tb will have to do untill I can afford a super nice Take 124. But right now im kinda in the pre jetting stage before I actually get my bike up and running. The stock jetting for the VM26 is a 190 main and I believe a 20 or 20.5 pilot. Anyway I know these wont be the jets I need for my bike like 190 is wayyy to large I think so Im trying to see what jets any of you with similar set ups are running. I bought a large range of jets and I dont expect to hit the nail on the head right away but I just want to get my jetting close to where it needs to be so I can just make minor tweaks later on.

Thanks guys

Bean this might help you out especially as I'm also on the east coast of Australia.

I am running:

165 Main
17.5 Pilot
Needle clip in second from the top (leaner) position
Air screw is 1.4-1.5 turns out

The bike seems to be running well with good power throughout the rev range. I have still got a low end bog that I don't know if you can ever get rid off. The bog is only off idle when i crack the throttle in neutral and is not present when riding. When I first installed the tb 108 kit, I ran it with the stock jets, there was a bad hesitation that I was able to get rid of by dropping the needle down one notch to lean it out. I also changed the main jet from the stock 190 down to 175 and then 165. I got some new pilot jets then dropped it from the stock 22.5 to 20.0 and then 17.5. The bike is running awesome atm and the temperature is good.

Duckhunt: temperature around here ATM is approx. 20 degrees C and I am pretty close to sea level.

Are you using this carb on the nitrous bike? If it is only going to be used on the street or drag racing i would think you could run the 26 without too much trouble. My guess is you would need to be at 165 or 155 main, 17.5 (maybe 15) pilot and start at 1.5 turns out on mixture. My guess is jetting is going to be a pain, but you should be able to get it to work good with a bit of tuning

Yea its going on the nitrous bike. I put a 165 in so i might start from there. Thanks

I Have a 24 mikuni if you want to try it PM me.
Thanks for the offer, but Im going to run this on my 108 untill I can get the funds to bump up to a tak 124 +r so Ill have the 26 on that unless I decide to bump up to a 28.
