What did you paint the tank with?

My last find I think must have spent some time (years) outside or underwater or something... didn't look that bad but every nut and bolt are fused together...

Spray paint, I spray all my bikes and people always ask where i get it painted at.

Will the spray paint hold up well to fuel getting on it? I have thought of painting mine but figured gas splashing on it would bubble the paint?

I don't think it would if you let te paint dry correctly. And I'll most likely put a graphic kit on it.

Paint will not last out of a rattle can once gas hits it. I am speaking from experience from other "non-mini" projects in the past.

I'll see how it holds up. It held up to my dads tank for ten years on his Z but who knows. Only time will tell

I've used auto quality spray paint and it lasts, but when the gas gets on it, the luster fades.

Yeah I use bobcat spray paint that we use for our bob cats to keep them looking fresh

It may end up looking like this if a lot of gas gets on it. This is a spray painted tank, and the gas cap leaked quite often.

i give my tanks to a body shop after i paint them... i put decals on and they clear coat and bake for 40.00 ...... no problem with spilled gas then ... and looks awesome
