hi!
i wonder how many hp a honda cr 80 -02 have?
my friend has one in parts and he wants go get rid of it so im thinking of putting the engine(maby forks to) on/in a pitbike chassie.
how would it compare to a daytona 150cc?

Ph

It has about 3 or 4 more hp than a daytona 150cc. Its a faster engine but you'll have to be able to modify the frame to accept a 2-stroke engine if it is a pitbike frame. It won't be a quick drop in engine, not sure if you already knew this or not. Curious of what bike you were thinking of putting it in?

If you are widing wide open that CR80 motor will smoke a daytona 150 but on most pitbike tracks (small) you are going to be disadvantaged by its peaky power delivery. But the biggest challenge you are going to have is getting it to fit in any pitbike frame. Make sure to take pictures if you do though.

okej, thanks! btw, how many hp dose the daytona have?
aa pitpro procomp, just like this! Omdirigeringsmeddelande
pretty "high" frame and kinda like a primmy so there is quite much room.

hey does anyone know if it would be possible for me to fit a cr85 engine in a xr80? and i am not just gonna buy a cr85 the xr was my first bike and i want to be able to start riding it some more and i need some extra speed...... well alot of extra speed. anyways i think i can handle mounts and such i just need to know if it will fit and if not what will my friend had a kx85 with a fmf pipe and i dont want to be left behind so i need something that rips and i thought this would be good if it fits..... i would like to out a crf150r engine in it but i dont know if i could make it fit or not plus i can get a cr85 engine cheaper. can anyone help me with some advice?

Sell the xr or just try and buy a 85. The bike has better suspension, brakes, well everything. Idk of anyone who put a 85 motor in a xr frame. Some people who want a 4 stroke play bike put the xr motors in the 85 frames...

Yea well I'm not gonna sell my xr80 it was my first dirtbike and I've had it forever and it's got sentimental value but I don't want to just leave in the she forever and I don't have the money to buy a cr85 but I might be able to get enough together to get the engine exhaust electrical crap the cdi and anything else if I look for a while and get a good deal..... I don't really need a fast dirtbike I have a fast atv I love to ride its just every once and a while you wanna ride something else and I want to actually feel like I want to ride the thing and not just never ride it so I really just need to know what I can do to this thing to get some extra power and speed

Not many people around here buy 85's around here it's all about atv's jeeps broncos trucks that kinda thing but what I'm saying is I don't want to buy a fast dirtbike I want to make this one faster so what I want to know is what the outer dimensions on the engine are just how long tall and wide it is I know the height of the engine won't be a problem but I need to know if the bottom end can fit into the frame

Ive seen some 85s that need top ends going for $300 around my neck of the woods. Thats what you need to find
yaa but they're so clapped out it makes me wonder how they ever ran to BLOW the top end.

Ok now don't take this the wrong way cause I'm not trying to be an...... I never asked if it was worth it I asked if it would fit I don't care if it seams like it wouldn't be worth it to you it's worth it to me I don't need answers to questions I didn't ask I wanna know if it fits and I'm not putting a xr100 engine in it and the top ends won't swap the don't have that much more power and it's not worth it but this was my first dirt bike and I want some decent speed out of it not just a horsepower or two now that being said stop giving me suggestions on what bike to get and no tiny step up engines either I just want to know if this will fit and if not what will fit that will really make it a fast little bike

I'm looking to find the same answer. I got an xr80. I'm planning on getting an xr100 bottom end and a kitaco 145 kit, BUUUUT that's about 2 grand all in all. If I can boost for a cr85 motor and it fits, I'm going that route. But I ride strictly ON road, so I don't need better off-road suspension, etc. . check it out on Facebook. Search mini motard. I don't know if this helps much, but I read a few places that people put an xr200 motor on the 80 with fairly minimal frame mods. They say it's a bit heavier though. But they did say they could no- preload power wheelie in 3rd gear. I've thought about that 2 but it would take me out of my main class goal in WERA. Good luck man.

I would do the swap if I was you, all you have to do is: engineer some motor mounts, swap out the electricals, install the radiators, fabricate the exhaust, and upgrade the brakes and suspension since they aren't designed for the stress of a 2 stroke. easy!
