I'd assume get the piston i want then turn the head to fit the the piston that way i could up my compression several points with bumpier piston. You can actually get quiet a bit of compression on a hemispherical head before you get pre detonation.

Hello, I'm about to get some more horses to my engine.

My question is if I put a TB race head V2 on my Zongshen 155 would it fit "bolt-on" or do I need to modify the piston?
not a bolt on deal. different valve angles, valve sizes, and depending on cams in each head more than likely V2 has more lift. V2 has bigger valves 30mm / 24.5mm and zonger is 27-28.5mm / 23-23.5 mm. you could fly cut the piston to "make" it work. but you would be further ahead to purchase a piston designed for the V2 head. just my 2 cents.

The TB v2 head will bolt on and run very well on a stock 155z and HO engine, if you run the standard v2 cam, no clearance issues.
No need to swap pistons, no need to machine pistons, just use the correct cam, and thing larger than the s 20 copy cam and you will need to swap the piston.
The 155z and HO have similar valve angles to the v2 head unlike the YX head .
