Hi Planet Minis,

I'm a n00b to motos in general, so go easy on me

I have searched high and low for the answer to this question, so forgive me if the answer is out there - I just can't find it.

I have a 2005 KLX110 that I'm refurbishing since it's so damn fun (was my son's, who has now moved into a 140). I need to redo the clutch (oops, ran the bike dry due to ignorance and a burnt ring) , and can't figure out how to get the primary clutch nut off (19mm that holds the centrifugal on). I don't have an impact wrench (or the "primary clutch removal tool" which is stupidly expensive), so I've been using a 3 foot pipe and have been unsuccessful trying to lock the primary pinion with wood/door wedge, etc., but I'm missing some basic technique.

Help?! How do I get the 19mm nut off of the primary?

Thanks!

Sorry ..., yes you would most likely need to replace the gasket too ..

Idk ..., I'd be worried about bending valves and the connecting rod doing the rope method .. ?? But hey ..., if it works without issue .., then ok ..
