Alright guys so i have seen ALOT of new people come on here and ask "MX or A-Style" which should i get. lets make a thread to try and help everyone where you can come on here and see specs and get an idea of what you might want to run. ill give an input on suspension setups i have owned and this is just my opinion on bikes i have built dont get offended by anything i say.

Big Minis with Elka zokes up front - With this suspension setup the bike handeled really good and was able to soak up anything that hit it. i felt this setup was one of the best ones i have ran on a stock framed 110. but the bike still felt a little squirrly to me.

BBR super pro/super comp with Elka zokes up front - This suspension set up was also pretty good but i felt like the rear end had to take alot of weight to get it to work properly and it was still not as good as the Big Minis. dont get me wrong the set up felt good but didnt corner as well and wasnt as smooth.

Sikk 110s billet ware sano ect plus 3 with Works shock zokes up front - With this set up the bike didnt handle well it felt like it was a toy really squirlly and very unforgiving the bike just felt like a stock set up with more travel. i couldnt get this setup to handle the way i wanted it to.

BBR Perimeter frame BBR super comp swingarm with Elka zokes up front - When i first bought this set up i heard that it is "the worst handeling and the heaviest setup" on the market but i thought id find out first hand and try it out for my self. first expierence right when i sat on it i felt right at home the bike feels stable and solid like it can do some damage and take damage. first ride out i absolotuly loved the bike it has the "big bike" feel where you can go into a turn and rail it as hard as you can and feel comfortable and not like the bi ke is gonna get out of control. the bikeis lighter then a stock framed full mod, it is alot of money i agree BUT if you wanna get the best ride out of a mini this is where its at. the bike jumps perfect just like a big bike i also heard that it feels like you are riding over the bike like it is stink bugged from people. but that is all BS only after i bought mine i realized everyone who was hating on the BBR bikes NEVER road one. pretty much out of all the setups i have owned and they all get ridden to there full potential the BBR i felt was the best one by far.

Nice write up man! After reading all that, I really can't wait to try out that Bigminis setup you sold me.

And I also think I really want a primmy now!! haha

I've ran stock, Sikk 110's +4 w/ RB forks, and Zokes with Bigminis rearend and the Bigminis is by far my favorite. I totally agree with all the stuff you said about the setups. I've ridden a couple of BBRs and loved them, but I'm not wanting to spend that kind of money on a mini.

i just got done building a 110 with showa 85 front forks and a two brothers rear swinger with the extended racetech and i love the setup. it rides really good and feels like it can take anything you throw at it. i have not got a chance to ride a primmy but i would love to get the chance. from all my research these two setups came up alot and there was never any bad things said about either one!

My buddy has a klx with kx65 front end + stiff springs + heavy (20wt?) fork oil. Plus a Pitster Pro rear end with DNM res. shock with 850lbs.

My klx-L with stock zokes with 10wt oil. Plus the BBR MX rearend with drum brakes. Its got the black (stiff) lower shock mount, and Elka with 1000lbs spring.

The zokes def feel better than the kx65 but the kx65 front brakes are amazing. When i have the extra cash, I def wanna get the sik kx65 brake kit.

I think my rear end is too stiff because it bucks around on the whoops a lot, and generally feels less stable in the fast rough stuff than my friend's pitster pro. However, in the trails, I can wheelie over most of the rough stuff while his bike is harder to wheelie so his front end and arms take a lot of abuse. His bike handles slow on the tight pitbike track compared to mine. I wanna say its because his swingarm is a bit longer and softer. I think I need to try a softer lower shock mount.

I'm actually very impressed with the pitster pro rear end...especially considering the price. The only thing that sucks is trying to mount the rear disc master cylinder to the stock klx frame.

Yea on my zokes I have a kx65 caliper with a kx250f master cylinder brakes work better then me 10' 250f.

As for your rear end I would try running the blue shock block along with turning your rebound adjuster almost all the way in to make it handle good.(I have an extra blue one if your interested lmk)

bigminis stage 3 rear end, elka with ti spring, 3rd gen zokes. This definately was the best handling setup I ever had. The bike soaked everything up I threw at it and tracked really well on the outdoor big bike tracks we rode.

I really like the 65 setup with your choice of a big bike master cylinder with a steal braided line so when you press the breaks it doesn't expand like the marzochii one, post a pic of your left side fork leg see if you got lucky or if you have to buy a mount

Clean setup I remember that bike jdmp the new one you got is legit to though just add things you like to it and you'll love it. I miss my old big minis kinda want another to switch off between primmy to big minis

-This is the same bike but with a kx65 rear brake and 1st gen bbr superpro swinger/elka shock. Bike always felt a little soft in the rear with this setup. Also the lower rear shock bolt tended to back out. This setup always had that feeling of something more to be desired. Not a bad setup for the money though compared to some of the others.

-my current stock mod had hd oil and one hd spring in the front with stock forks. Rear was a works shock with resi. Rear shock soaked up almost anything with my weight and made the bike more predictable.
