Well...neverfail....10 minutes of runtime on austin's TB108 and its starting to self destruct again. The little rubber plug that goes on top of the tensioner rod is getting split in half by the tensioner arm. Its obvious that is what is happening just by looking at the plug. Imagine a rubber birthday cake, and then a meat cleaver chopping into the top of it. That is whats happening. Pics....
The new quick fix idea is to widen the surface of that tensioner arm by welding on either side of it. Change it from meat cleaver, to hammer. The end of it will hopefully look more like that of a rocker arm.
