It's easy if you got the bearings like these. Loose bearings like seen further down the page....uhhh....not so easy.
Just got my front end back together. I went pretty smooth considering it was my first time. I've changed out bearings and races before at work just never on a motorcycle so I could figure it out with out too much trouble. Yeah I had the bearings at the top, I couldn't imagine doing with out the plastic holders. It turns out the bearings were fine but the races were dented by the ball bearings so that was the little bit of play I was feeling in the front end. It is solid and smooth now though.

Haha, it's on the 1 near fujisawa. Except for some of the newer monkey honda genuine parts like the tanks and some of the higher performance suspension stuff, I'm pretty sure you can get most of this stuff online, but naturally it's not cheap... I imagine you can blame that on the exchange rate, shipping costs, import export taxes...

XE_Nerd, I hope all is well and that you're able to check in with us soon. I'm sure internet is sketchy at best right now and higher priorities are prevailing in your daily life, but when you get the chance stop by to say hello and let us know how you're doing.

XE_Nerd considering you are in Japan, I hope everything is ok in the area you are in, considering the earthquake and tsunami and nuclear plant meltdowns happening over there right now.

Thanks for your concern. My family is in a safe area away from radiation and didn't get effected by the tsunami and just felt the earth quake's but no buildings came down in our area from it. The navy is going to fly my family to the states for at least a month anyways to ensure they are safe. I'm at sea helping the victims of the tsunami so I'm glad they are flying my family to the states so I don't have to worry about them and I can focus on helping the people that need it.

Thanks for checking in man, glad to hear that you and your family are alright. Thank you and all service men and women around the globe for doing what you do. Just know that that those of us here at home appreciate the sacrifices that you and and your loved ones make on our behalf. Stay safe and look forward to the better days that are sure to come in the future, including getting to ride that nice little Z of yours.

Yeah I installed the 88cc kit and only had time to start it up when I was done and do an initial tune for the carb and that was like almost 2 months ago. hope I get to ride it before summer is over. I haven't been home for summer in 5 years.
