The Jialing (GPX) motor is a awsome motor right out of the box it pumps a little over 8 ponys with massive torqe. the first thing you will notice is that it has tons of bottom end and good mid range this do to the smaller valve configuration it does sign off a little on the top but that is hardley noticable. this motor has tons of potential. there are guys out there really working hard to build these motors into monsters for a 1/3 the price of a takagawa or Kitaco. some will say never will it ever happen. never they say will we see Chinese motors pushing into the 17 Hp + arena but for those of us who have been slowly pumping them up and making them rockets know that the day is coming. the Jialing trannsmissions have also been holding up very well but remember as you build them they like any other motor in there class need a little tranny mod ie: shift star and stronger detent arm spring or the best way just go all 4 up with the shift patern. these motors are MX monsters with there serious torqe and 5 disc. clutch off the primary they make a hard motor to beat.

The other 2 motors are the Zong Shen and the Lifan 120cc motors with the 27/23 valve combo. these motors have the same Hp out of the box as the fore mentioned motor but because the valves are so large you loose bottom end torqe. these motors too have great potential they can be built huge to match the huge valves then they start to shine when cc's match the head. a good cam and mild port and the right carb and these will be monsters in there own class. thou the big motor builds on the these are sometimes beter suited for road racing the do good in MX too.

One more motor option is the Loncin I do not know alot about this motor and its potential so i will not go into any evaluation concerning its potential or reliability.

Is the GPX mill running the same stud pattern as the Zong Shen / Lifan 120's? I prefer the GPX as the base for my 125 class machine, and given my experience with my 70 I think having a broad torque curve will be better than something that needs to be wound more, but I also like the idea that I can experiment should the mood catch me. : )

kurlon

its not the same as the "sikk mx" lifan /zongshen copy

but it WILL fit the sdg pro mini lifan 120 engine

and i think this is the same pattern as the 120cc lifan alum cyl we have

just spending all our time with the jialing

don ,

what you not getting on ebay is a PROVEN sturdy and powerfull engine

we know EXACTLY what is needed to install our engine into every bike so we customise the kit to each customers needs and included everything they need to run

for instance you dont need wiring to run our engine is a crf50 especialy if it has a rev box and hi output coil already installed !!

did your ebay engine come with a footpeg bar ?

we check with each customer to see what footpeg bars there running

we also have replacment parts

gaskets ,rings,clutch plates

performance parts

cams ,high comp pistons ,inner rotor kits

its a complete system

im sure RCM and AHP are up on this info as well !!!

as stated your best bet is a PM sponser

we race this stuff !!

tbolt I'm sure your engines are as complete.

A guy looking on ebay for a chinese motor sees this picture

He likes the $599 engine but knows he's gonna need a lot more than just the "lump" to get that engine running in his project bike. However, that's all that's included in the auction. The extras aren't gonna be free... They'll add to the $599 price.

Then the guy sees this picture in another ebay auction. This one is "buy it now" for $295.

Which engine is the newbie 50'er gonna snag?

Hey, crkid

How is the 1st to 2nd jump on the lifan 120cc motors is it anything like the honda.

I'm looking at buying Lifan 120cc for my son's xr70 and would like to make the motor for mx.

I have a inner-rotor kit and would like to buy a cam and high comp pistion.

Do you have a good mx cams for this motor.

my vicious 50s engine came with the rubber inserts i had to grind on my swing arm(ct 70 clone) to get the bottom mount to bolt up becaus the metal around the bolt hole is thicker than the lifan i pulled out rubber inserts are not always a bad thing..
