I guess I was wrong when I thought I could install a NSR swingarm on a zb50. The swingarm I have is 25mm wider at the pivot bolt. What is the real story on this swap and can I modify the swingarm to fit? Thanks for any suggestions.

People swap an NSR50 swingarm on a ZB50 so they can run a 12" NSR50 wheel in the rear.

Not many swap the swingarm to keep a stock set of wheels. The stock NSR50 swingarm is a boat anchor.

Hello Frenchboy, did get you swingarm sorted?
I am finally getting to my conversion and face the same problem.
It looks like I need to cut a bit off both sides to make the 2004 NSR arm to fit the ZB frame.
This also means machining the inside of the tube to make the roller bearings fit again :-(

Hope to hear from you

I have taken the point where the chain runs over the arm as starting point for my measurements, from there it seems one side needs 5-6mm cut off and the other side 20mm.
No need to cut, reposition & weld the lower shock mounting point after cutting both sides to the mentioned specs according to my comparison of the arms.

still not an easy afternoon job....BUGAH...will look for a company who can machine the inside of the tube after cutting to make the bearings fit again.
