So I picked this bike up a week ago. Rode it for a day and decided to tear it down and build it to my liking. I'm going with a Honda theme, and trying to match it to my Honda 250R.

I am replacing all the bearings, seals, and going through the motor and suspension. Motor is going to be a 160 with the high comp piston, upgraded cam and timing chain, and a port job. Might send the suspension off to Feal soon.

I'll post up pics as parts come in and as the bike goes together. I almost have as much fun building bikes as riding them. My builds move pretty quickly so hang on.

So here it is right now:

Feel free to make any suggestions, I love to hear others opinions.

dam dude that takes some serious time, looks good tho. I've tried using a tire pen before but when the pressure washer hits it, its gone! pain to redo everytime, but it looks like a factory tire, ive never figured out how the factory bikes keep the writing on the tire. anyway do you plan on polishing the bbr frame like the 250f, if so then that'll nice

Yea, I don't pressure wash my bikes so the tire pen stays on there pretty good.

I'm polishing the BBR frame as well. I started on it tonight and should be done tomorrow. I'll post some pics up tomorrow.

Yea it is! First time I took my 250 out after building it I went easy on it. Then I realized that it's a dirtbike, not a decoration. I just clean the crap out of it after every time I ride it and it still the same as when I had just finished it.

I use this wash for all of my bikes: Slick Offroad Wash

Keeps all of the bearings from getting eaten by pressure washers.

@ Honda Xrs85, Ive never heard of that slick stuff till now. Sounds like a good product, I used to ride almost everyday (i had a track in the backyard) but i would just fart around and it would get a little dirty. Bikes would only get really dirty when i raced on weekends. I would spend more money on them packets cleaning my bike everyday! So it was always easier to use pressure washer and simple green, I was never good enough to have bearing problems. But I still am curious as hell what the factory guys use on their tires to highlight them letters.

I only use the stuff when I ride at tracks and the bikes get really muddy. Works great for breaking down the mud, but doesn't touch grease or oil. I'm just worried about bearings because I've bought bikes before where every bearing is garbage and I have to go through the whole bike.

So I got the frame all done, looks pretty nice. It isn't perfect, but it's not going into a showroom by any means. Also repacked the muffler, put a new graphic on it, and put a "brushed" look on the can. Polished the header, and the "BBR" on the swingarm. Here's a few pics.

My BBR order came in today, and I can start putting the motor back together when I get the stroker crank.

I'll show you guys later why I polished the header. It's pretty cool.

Didn't get a whole lot done today, but the seat is finished. Took a lot of work to get the cover on, but it looks awesome.

I'm bringing in a bunch of stuff to the anodizor tomorrow, and one of my big orders is coming in tomorrow too so I'll have a lot more to post.
