why do you have to split the case if the 106 kit doesnt come with crank????

You must be talking about the 106 skirtless piston and cylinder...

I wouldnt recommend going with a skirtless setup. Get the crank and do it right.

52mm bore and below you dont have to bore the cases.

54mm you have to bore to make the cylinder clear.

im thinkin about the bbr because they are still a good price and have a good rep. any have experience with the bbr 106???? there are way too many choices to choose from but ill wait to see what terry at firepower has to say tomorrow because i talked with him about some stuff tonight and he said he will take care of me.i dont want to offend by not going with what you guys say because i knoww you guys know more than me but how is the quality of tb stuff???

thanks

Your are probably talking about the Takegawa Scut 106 kit, I'd say you should go with stroker kit not scut kit. The 124 Super Head is a very good motor but I would consider the Kitaco 124 SE over it. The case should be bored to accept the new cylinder and the case require to be split to put the new crank in.
