i have a bbr superpro W/elka on my 110 and the bushing on the bottom of the elka where it connects through the swingarm has squished away with only a few rides. i heard this happens to alot of them but i was wondering can i get a metal bushing made or do i have to have the rubber in thier?

Alot of the problem is the bolts, I had the same problem then used bolts with a longer shank so the bushings aren't riding on the threads. They seem to be holding up better now without play.Make sure you tighten the bolts super tight also.

I dont see why you couldnt put a steel bushing in there....lathe up a steel one and just give er a shot of grease every now and then and it should last longer than the shock will
thats what i was thinking i think im gonna do it ill post a pic im gonna try and get one made by the end of the week

Like I said about the bolts there is to much clearence between the bolt and the i.d. of the bushing even when they are new I went through alot of bolts to find one with a little bit bigger shank then put another new set of bushings in really cranked the bolts down and haven't had any problems since.I had my brother make some custom stainless ones for my super pro 50 and they were nice with just enough clearence to fit tight with no play at all.
