I just got done installing new Japan made NTN bearings on the transmission shafts and the crank of a fresh yx192cc . Besides the upcoming cost of installing a sleeved idler bearing or a yx retro case swap for a total of $79.84 retail I fit my yx160 with quality Japanese NTN bearings. This has to be best mod for the money next to balancing the crank. Not only is the motor by far smoother but has a near silent bottom end now ;).

I have also rolled the dice on a pair of hybrid ceramic bearings for another one of my yx160 builds I have not run it yet but I will be testing to see if there is a benifit in longevity, rpm's, or oil temperature. They were $89.95 each so I am hoping they will pay off in some way..

part #'s and a source?

all of these bearings can be purchased from your local honda dealer...

91002-HP1-671 = 6303

96120-62030-00 = 6203

96140-60010-00 = 6001

91002-ky4-901 = 63/22 (crank bearings)

btw I have had to shim two different yx motors with different shims just to let you know, these yx motors are not all the same so be preparred to make a change or two unless you get lucky. I will post back when I get a set of the ceramic ntn bearings throughout a new 155z motor soon.

You can go here for the ceramic hybrid ntn crank bearings :

Curious to hear how these crank bearings are working.

Buy your own and find out for yourself, or go hang from p.pro's nutz some more and see they will help you ;). In case you have forgotten, I don't like you Blackwoodz and probably never will so quit invading planetminis with your negative nonsense and go find another hobby.

Anyone else that would like to hear about any of my mods please feel free to pm me anytime.

So far so good they compliment the balanced crank with big bore piston setup. it is to cold out here to determine if the temperatures are lower as I took readings last summer to compare I will have to wait till then to see for sure. they are pricey and I can't "feel" a difference so I guess i have to see if they last longer.
