z155 gearing...What can i do to help?

Yeap thats true. And if the Z is all that why did Pitster come out with there new 160HO.. It has a 57mm crank... Now that motor looks pretty good but I dont know what transmission it uses.... It could be the old Z one... Pitster Pro Forum - View topic - New z160 HO Motor complete packages

the first newPP HO engines will have 55mm stroke, but there will be versions with, 57, 53, and a few other cranks.,, also different bore sizes too.

I just went through the part numbers for the 155 vs the new PP HO engines and, there are four different crank numbers, the head ,valves,springs, rockers, cam,cylinders, pistons, trans gears, right side crankcase , rightside clutch cover assembly, clutch basket, clutch assembly,drive gear,kickershaft , all use a different part number.

Matfield you might wana change the info in the link I have posted above.. It lists it right there as haveing a 57mm crank might wana change that to a 55 if thats what they come with...

Not sure where you are reading that,, as that link makes no mention to stroke at all.

It did say it but its been taken down or changed.. Thats what the whole thread is about the new 160 HO... If it didnt have a 57mm crank and its advertised as a 160 engine what crank does a 160 have in it.. Is it a 55mm cranks with a 61 or 62mm piston???.. In the link above it use to say 57X60.. Is it a 160 or is it not...

Sorry at no time was the stroke listed, Blackwwodz was just guessing that is why he added a question mark ? ,Pitster said that we would ,when final details were ready post those, it is not advertsed for sale at this time, but will be soon, I posted that there are 4 different cranks that could be selected for these engines., as well as different cylinders too.

57x60 .... 55x61 or 53x62 all equal a 160 displacement.

OK well my bad lol.. Maybe it was what Blackwoods said then is where I saw the 57X60.. So I was wrong.. But why would you make a 160 either 55X61 or 53X62.. I dont think either of the smaller crank options would make anymore power than the 57X60.. And if you wanted to upgrade later to a big engine you wouldnt have to purchase a crank.. Is it a different transmission or is it using the one thats in the Z now??

The Z155's, from all the sources, are marked 160cc, so I can see why they'd call the "GLEE" a 160.

The 175cc versions don't mention a close ratio, though. 6-disk clutch and "Upgrade more inside part..." 63x56? 64x56.5 on the "180's"

probably because the engine you are referring to, as a 175cc is built by the company you took the photo from, they buy the standard engines be it YX or ZS and "build" or add their parts to those engines and add it to their productline from that.

firepower, since you know so much, could you explain the difference between takagawa valves and tb valve. and the difference between a 6 disc clutch and a 5 disc clutch? or are they all the same?
