i have a Red Baron factory aluminum frame and i cased a jump which broke off the brake arm pivot bolt. i tried to use heat + an EZ out and the EZ out broke off inside the broken bolt. this sucks!

i gave up on it and handed it over to a friend. he's working on it and i've got my fingers crossed he can make something happennsxfreak4e said:damn man thaat sucks, drill out the easy out, and get a craftmans easy out, lifetime warranty, good luck i hope it works, i broke a torque arm on a trans am, and the bolt broke off in the rear end, it took 6 hours of messing with it with an easy out, finally my friend got under the lift, and twisted it out by FINGERS, we know call him mighty fingers!, i hope its that easy!, good luck man
i tried the center punch with no luck. i used a propane touch to heat the area but it still failed meracerx711 said:center punch center punch...
you have to start drilling in the center of the bolt.. start off with a smaller drill bit and go bigger..
also use a propane torch to heat up the area around it when using the ez-out..
with broken off bolts you have to take your time and do it right the first time..
