Alright so im located in southern california near the 210 and 15 and tomorrow me and some friends want to go to cruse up the 15 and find somewhere fun to ride. Ive been to barstow and hodge road on the 50's and it was okay but a wee bit rocky. Basically I want to know where planetminis favorite desert to ride 50's is. Trying to stay within an hour or so going up the 15 north, thanks!

sounds like fun, how do you get there?
Take the 15 north. Exit at the 138. From the off-ramp, at the stop sign, there is a dirt road straight ahead. That dirt road runs parallel to the 15 freeway, on the east side. Go for about 2 miles, past two sets of train tracks. There is a staging area with bathrooms and a picnic table. You can ride North down that dirt road, and you will cross through tunnels under the freeway. From there, hit the trails and pretend like you are in the mini Baja 1000, just don't run out of gas. Also, at the 138 exit, there is a Cheveron, where you can buy the $5 adventure pass for parking, if you are worried about a ranger showing up. And you can also exit at Cleghorn road, and ride to Silverwood on a fire road.

I didnt have time to read the other posts before we left so we just crused down the 138 for about 10 minutes and spotted a truck with gas cans by a cafe off to the right and found some amazing trails there, trails forever! it was a lot of fun hitting whoops and snow patches. All the turns had berms and their were pretty good hill climbs everywhere, It was my favorite trail spot ive been to so far. A few miles in we hit designated trails and went up some pretty sandy hills, it was really fun.

some of the whoops are big enough to double which was fun, but not realy jumps that I noticed. there were trails and tracks everywhere, it was really cool.
