I like the arrow so far. Unfortunately I have not used the Jolly Moto yet. Just when I got it in September we had a brutal cold snap so I won't be able to test it until spring. The Jolly will be peakier for sure. The arrow is a nice bolt on that does not require any rejetting but it does give a ton more overrev compared to stock. The Kitaco is build more for show. Its lightweight but to be honest by mid summer I ditched it to go back to the stock pipe. I used the arrow with my Athena big bore kit but next year I will be running 63cc Kitaco cylinders in both my bikes (though with different dech heights and port timing). I will have to play mix and match between cylinders, carbs, and pipes to get different combinations that will work. If it warms up I will try to squeak in a dyno session but with this last weather swing I don't think I will be doing anything till spring. I can hardly wait.

Nope. Thats typical Alberta weather. Since then till two days ago its been nice and warm. Thursday was pretty much the first snow fall we had all year. I should have left my bikes together and I would have had plenty of chances to sneak in a dyno session.

Here is my .02 on the Arrow exhaust. I had the Arrow exhaust on my NSR when I had the 63, 65 and 70cc kits on it and I liked it at first, until I found out that it doesn't help anything! Billy Wiese put a stock NSR on the dyno, ran it, then put on the Arrow exhaust on and it pulled the same numbers! No different then the stock exhaust. Billy called me and told me about this, since he knew I had one, and I took mine off...raced the next weekend with my stock exhaust back on with the 65cc kit and ran the same, if not better lap times at the track that day!

Plus, when I got the exhaust from Team Calamari, they told me it would bolt right on. I got the exhaust in the mail, and it was for the NS-50 (17" wheel bike) not the 12" wheel NSR-50. They said that was the exhaust for the NSR50, and I could return it, but it would cost me a restocking fee, shipping ect.. so I ended up cutting off the mounting tabs, and the exhaust stinger, relocated so it would fit/mount on the NSR. Was kinda pissed off about that since I spent $300 for a stock exhaust!

Run the Jolly Moto or Jemco pipe.. you'll see a HUGE differance in the power!

Ah yes the dyno. The teller of all truths. Its funny how a few short years ago everyone was saying how the Arrows were the best until they dyno'd them. Now everyone says they are junk. I do however find that the throttle response is a little better versus stock and I like the overrev. With the Arrow you can absolutely bury the tach needle and you can't come close to that with the stock pipe no matter how lean you jet. The Jolly Moto pipe is also for a 17" wheeled bike. Almost all the euro pipes are for the big wheeled bikes. They are not that hard to mount. You just have to bend the tab on the pipe and redrill a new mounting hole on the bike. That being said I was not satisfied with the Arrow and that's why I went shopping for a new pipe and came around to the Jolly. Truth be told I really wanted the Lomas (their other pipes are pure magic) but I could not find any info on it and did not want to take a chance and be the guinea pig.

Yeah, the HP game is fun, but really... would you of bought that Arrow exhaust knowing that it doesn't give you any HP increase, but maybe a little better throttle responce? I can spend a lot less then $300 on something else and get the same results if not better.

Hey, I love the look of the Arrow, but the damn thing was a $300 stock pipe. When racing mine, I felt absolutely no difference from one pipe to the other, other then the noise it made. This was racing at a short track, so it might of made a difference on a longer track? Now, take the same motor, add the Jemco exhaust to it and it was night and day difference! My teammate Jordan runs the Jemco exhaust on his NSR-63cc bike. I raced it in an endurance race not too long ago and I couldn't believe how much of a difference that pipe makes on that bike! You want to talk about pinning the tach needle, that pipe will brake that needle off! Then add an inner-rotor kit, and you are talking crazy fast!!

This is just my opinion.. nothing else.

And about TCR.. I don't mind them at all.. they have helped me out a lot back in the days when I was racing my YSR, they know YSR's inside and out. I'm just not sure if they know as much about the NSR's?

My arrow came with the bike and the whole package was pretty cheap. Fireman, I'm curious. Do you know anyone running the Jemco without any motor work done. Stock head with say an untouched cylinder (bigbore or not). Just wondering how much difference just the pipe makes.

Matter of fact yes I do.. Jordan (I'll see if I can call him and he can chime in on this fact) use to run his Jemco exhaust with stock bore, stock carb, and he would keep up with me and my 65cc NSR with Arrow exhaust. That is when I knew something was wrong with that exhaust.. the motor was fresh, and no problems with it, he would just fly right past me on the straights! Don't get me wrong, he said he would have to work to get around me, but as soon as he installed the Kitaco 63cc kit, he was untouchable.. and still is!

Here is a video of him on his NSR at BeaveRun, PA on his NSR with Jemco exhaust and stock bore cylinder and stock carb.

This was back in 2005, the other bike was our other teammate.. he had just a bone stock NSR and couldn't keep up with Jordan!

There are about 2-3 other racers in our club running just the Jemco exhaust on the NSR without any other motor/carb mods and they are all FAST!

Johnson - I'm here to tell you, the pipe makes a huge difference. Like Conrad said, I used to run it with a stock cylinder, head and carb. While I don't recall "flying" past Conrad I was able to hang with him and occasionally pass him. But I had to work seriously hard to do it and eventually installed a BBK because it was too much work trying to punch above my weight like that. Before I installed the BBK, though, I experimented with some other carbs (TM24 and VM20) and noticed no gains compared to the stock carb. On an otherwise stock engine the pipe allowed the bike to rev past 12k and make power while doing it. It was easily the best bang for the buck mod I've done to the bike, BBK included.

Full disclosure: The only other aftermarket pipe I have used on my bike was the Kitaco unit. I found the build quality and fitment to be terrible and returned it less than 24 hours after I took delivery.
