The torque spec on the clutch basket and housing is 53 ft lbs and i cant even get either of them up to 10. are there any tricks to holding the damn basket and housing from spinning while you're tightening them???

The torque spec for the stock Honda clutch nut is only 31ft.-lbs...

Putting a couple springs back on, with washers on the bolts, then using the penny/rag trick works well to keep the inner frrom spinning. That or stomp & hold the brake pedal with the bike in gear.

that sounds like a good idea but putting 53 ft lbs of pressure on it, i would feel like i'm gonna break the ****in gears..
