53 ft lbs? that seems like a lot. what are you working on? anyhow, i use a penny or a thin piece of aluminum in the primary gear to lock it

its the klx110 clutch. The TBR installation instructions says to torque both of the nuts on the clutch basket and housing to 53 ft lbs.

that sounds like a good idea but putting 53 ft lbs of pressure on it, i would feel like i'm gonna break the ****in gears..

110, based on his other posts.

Putting a couple springs back on, with washers on the bolts, then using the penny/rag trick works well.

I might have to try the rag.. I dont know so much about the penny. it seems like 53 ft lbs is too much pressure for the gears with a penny wedged in there
